Week 3
Clitheroe
We’re back in Silver Bend for Week 3! It’s finally
Keika turn! I randomly drew a WYDC for dear Keika.
Rules are linked on Silver Bend’s main thread on
Boolprop. This challenge is going to be great for
Silver Bend’s population.
Keika knelt down in the warm sand, pail in
hand. Pony had remembered her
promised beach lot. Now she just needed
a castle.
The sand was too dry and the sand castle
slumped in on itself. Oh well, Keika sighed,
she should turn her attention to the
challenge at hand.
Her beach house wasn’t much. Only the
bathroom was closed in completely. She
would have to have a long talk with Pony
about this.
There was also a small garden plot. Pony
mentioned that Keika would have to grow
her own food. At least for a little while.
As soon as she started planting her first
male visitor walk by. Charlie Tang, if she
remembered correctly.
Apparently Silver Bend residents were
extremely curious, cause Phil Jitmakusol
showed up soon after Charlie.
Then the welcome wagon showed up.
Ambi and Amanda hadn’t met Keika yet
and they brought Talin along with them.
Cashew followed the trail of people.
“Aww aren’t you cute.” Keika said patting
the wolf on the head. Pony wasn’t going to
give her a free dog, so she’d get her own.
Cashew wagged his tail and snuffled her
pockets for treats.
The flood of visitors refuses to stop, Kobe
and Grimalkin showed up too.
Though they didn’t get along particular
well. Grimalkin rushed the little cat.
“That wasn’t very nice of you.” Keika
scolded the wolf. He glanced at the
ground before wagging his tail in mute
apology.
The animals left after awhile. Keika went
down to the beach where her human
visitors were playing. Charlie was nice
enough, but refuse to respond to her
overtures.
“Hey, Phil you want to go out?” Keika asked after
chatting up Phil for a few hours.
“I’m sorry Keika you’re not really my type.”
“Oh okay.” Keika sighed, this challenge was not going
well so far.
So her first day was a bit of a bust. The
wolves ran away before she could adopt
them and no luck with men. Well
tomorrow she would do better.
“Hi I’m Keika.” she said greeting the
mailman.
“Pao Mellon, you’re new here.”
“Yeah, just moved in yesterday.”
“Nice seeing a small town like this grow a
bit.”
“Yeah, Pony dragged me out here.”
“Well, I’m glad she did.” Pao replied
blushing a little, “Nice to meet you Keika.”
“You too Pao. I’ll see you tomorrow then?”
“Rain, sleet, snow or hail.” Pao promised.
Keika puttered around for a little while
before picking up the phone.
“Hey Charlie, want to come over for a
bit?”
“Sure I’d love to.”
Charlie brought over his friend Cameron.
“Charlie, you would go on a date with me?” Keika
asked a bit nervously with Cameron and another walk
by standing so close.
“I’m sorry Keika, I know better than to date simselves,
I’ve heard the stories.”
“Heard the stories indeed!” Keika swore
going to bed. If she had her powers she
would smite the loser.
Her little tomatoes plants were struggling
to grow in the fall air. Keika did her best to
keep them from getting sick.
Plants taken care of, Keika called up Pao.
“Hi Pao, I saw you finish your mail run, you got any plans for
tonight?” She asked.
“Not really.”
“You want to come over, I don’t have any friends here yet.”
“I’d love to.”
“Thanks for coming over Pao, it’s to get to
know someone around.”
“Thanks for inviting me.” Pao blushed,
“You have a beautiful lot.”
“Pao, will you go out with me?” Keika
asked, relieved there wasn’t a live
audience this time.
“Yes, you’re really nice Keika, I’d like to get
to know you better.”
“You have incredible shoulders Pao.” Keika
said running her hand up his arm.
“It’s the mail bag. I never have to go to the
gym.”
It didn’t take long for Keika to nurture the
connection between them. She genuinely
liked Pao, she hoped he would understand
the nature of her challenge.
“The waves are beautiful.” Pao said
dreamily.
“Yes they are.” Keika replied her voice soft.
Keika fell asleep, she heard the tinkle of
the lullaby. Her first child was on it’s way.
“Goodbye Pao.” Keika said the next
morning.
“Sorry, I have to leave so early.”
“I’ll call you later.”
The sun came up along with the weeds.
She sighed, hopefully they would have a
grocery store soon. So she wouldn’t have
to keep up with these plants.
Keika spied someone walking down the
sidewalk. She rushed over, he was a cutie.
“Hi, I’m Keika.”
“Craig Ray.”
“I like your pants.”
They chatted a bit while Keika gather her nerve. She was
pregnant but it wouldn’t hurt to start a relationship with
the next baby daddy.
“Hey, you’re a cool guy, wanna go on a date?”
“Ha, okay.” Craig chuckled.
Keika kissed Craig goodbye as night fell.
The date went rather well.
“Can I see you again?” Craig asked in a
dazed voice.
“Most certainly.” Keika promised.
Thai was a regular caller checking on her to see how she was settling in.
“Are you going to tell Pao?” He asked when Keika announced her
pregnancy.
“I don’t know. I should, but I can’t exactly say hey I’m pregnant with your
baby, but going to cheat on you outrageously with 25 other men. In order
to complete a challenge laid on me by the goddess of this realm.”
Thai really didn’t have any answers either.
Keika hung up the phone and went to tend
the money trees she had planted. Pony
hadn’t said anything against them, and
gainful employment was impossible until
she found a husband.
In the wee hours of the morning, her baby made itself
known.
“There had better only be one of you.” Keika told her
stomach. Twins seemed to be an epidemic in Silver Bend.
Over half the pregnancies had been twins.
Keika checked her bank account and
realized she had enough funds to
purchased the community lot Pony set
aside for her. She decided to open a spa,
thinking of her swollen ankles.
After breakfast she headed up to newly
open Goddess Spa. The lot wasn’t the
greatest, a hill took up half the left side.
She would have to figure out how to work
around it.
She plopped down an energizer and got to
digging. There wasn’t even enough money
to purchased the ticket seller thingy.
Her luck turned around and the first thing
she dug up was a treasure chest. Keika
sighed in relief.
She shooed all the guests to the sidewalk
and got to work. It wasn’t much but it was
a start.
The customers were only charged one
dollars an hour while she practiced her
selling skills.
“This place is gonna be great Keika.” Juan
gushed.
“One day, but I’m closing up for now.”
Keika smiled, her feet were killing her.
“Okay open it up soon!”
Back home the phone was ringing off the hook.
“Thai?”
“I had an idea, just tell Pao it’s a alien baby.”
“I don’t think that’ll work Thai.”
“Never know until you try.”
“Craig!” Keika gasped in surprise.
“Sorry I couldn’t stay away.” He grinned
sheepishly. “What’s this?” He said looking
at her stomach.
“I guess I should tell you about that…”
Keika said reluctantly.
So she did, but she didn’t expect him to
laugh.
“I’m sorry, Keika, but that can’t be true.”
“It is, go next door and ask Pony yourself.”
“Okay, I’ll believe you.” Craig said, “I still
want to date you.”
“Really?” Keika couldn’t help it, Craig was
a giant doofus but she was starting to have
feeling for him.
“Really.”
Saturday morning found her tending the
money trees again. She couldn’t believe
her first week was almost up.
The money trees gave her an extra $120 to
help with a small Reno Day. She need the
nursery complete with the baby on the
way.
Not entirely finished, but good enough for
now. Next week she would hopefully have
enough for a changing table.
The tomatoes were finally doing alright.
Thanks to her newly minted bronzed
gardening badge.
She invited Pao over intending to tell him
about his baby.
“Wait a minute Keika, your money trees are
almost ready to harvest.”
“What??” She blinked at him, the money
tree leaves began to glow softly.
Pao turned around and helped himself to
her much needed cash. Keika had to stop
herself from hitting him with the watering
pail.
“Pao you need to leave.” She said hotly.
“Did that mean mailman hurt you?” She
murmured to her poor plants. They didn’t
seem any worse for wear after Pao helped
himself.
The money harvest wasn’t the only one
ready. The tomatoes put on a few meager
fruits. Keika didn’t care, her and the baby
would have food for a little while now.
Keika showered after harvesting the
tomatoes. In true legacy fashion she went
into labor in the bathroom.
Alice was born with much fuss. She had
Keika’s gold-green eyes and brown hair.
“You look just like mommy.” Keika said
cuddling her infant close.
She fed Alice and tucked in the yellow crib.
Alice burbled and clench her little fist.
“Even if your daddy is a rotten thief, you’re
still cute.” Keika said tickling the little girl’s
belly.
Keika crawled into her own bed. Grateful
to be in her regular pajamas again.
“Keika! You’re not pregnant anymore.”
Craig exclaimed when he came over the
next day.
“I gave birth you idiot.” Keika couldn’t help
but laugh.
“I really like you Keika.” Craig said in all
seriousness.
“I really like you too Craig.” Keika said
weaving her hand in his.
. . .
A few hours later Keika was woken up by the phone ringing.
“Did you tell Pao?” Thai asked.
“Nope, but I’m not going to worry about him.”
“Ah, Craig’s come over again hasn’t he.”
“Yep.”
“And you’re pregnant again.”
“Yep.”
“Gonna tell him?”
“More than that, I’m going to marry him.”

I’m caught up on all my Silver Bend writing yippee!
Keika had a interesting first week. I’m torn between moving in Craig as soon as
Alice is old enough, or waiting until a later time. To get the point bonus. Though
it’ll make it hard to run Goddess Spa at least until Alice is a teen. Thai and Keika
have really hit it off, of course Thai calls her all the time. I’m gonna have to
change his name to Marsha :P.
I’m having a bit of a debate whether to add in custom townies. I do have a few
legacy sims already downloaded. But I can’t decide whether I want to add them
in or not.
Feel free to leave an opinion in the comments thread.
It’s off to Laguna isle and the NEW Pokémon Legacy for at least a rotation. I
really need to get their chapter out. And my play days are going to be cut down
cause I’ll be starting a second job.
I’ll be a part time puppy trainer, I’m so excited. I just hope it doesn’t cut into my
new years resolution too much.
Happy Simming everybody!
