Never Give Me Research Paper
Doesn t everyone need at least one piece of advice? It could be as little as something like using
your brilliant little head, or just challenge yourself at anything that is complex. Everyone needs
a light to follow and someone to help them in a certain way. If I could give anyone some advice,
I would actually give it to myself in the future. I would tell myself to be magnificent in school,
never give up, and don t be a jerk to anyone. Without a doubt, I would certainly tell myself to do
fantastic in school. I know for a fact that for about everyone in the world, they need to have good
grades in school to have a happy, and entertaining life. If I ever wanted to be a doctor or a
lawyer, then I would certainly have to do my best in school and study as hard as I can. If I didn t
care about school and didn t even try to get grand grades, then there wouldn t be a good chance
that when I grow up to be a full grown man, I won t be happy and won t be doing what I had
always dreamed of doing. So even if someone isn t that bright inside but tries to their maximum
length, then they will for sure be living a delightful life with a family.... Show more content on

Everyone needs to have hope in themselves, even when the chances are that a comet could fall
right down on you when you are watering your plants. It is true that when someone just gives up
and doesn t believe, then they will just give up on everything and everything will just keep
getting worse and worse. So if I just keep on trying to reach the top of the ladder, than I could
become the next basketball star, or I could create a business better than Walmart. It is good in life
to fail sometimes instead of just always succeeding, because that makes you tougher inside and
keeps you from giving up and losing hope. Overall, it would make me a better human

Why Dedication Is Important
Dedication is being committed to a task or purpose. Dedication is what gets you out of bed at 5
a.m in the morning to go swim 3 miles in water than feel like it should be ice, not water.
Dedication is what makes you want to work harder at something you may not have mastered
quiet yet. If you ask any pro athlete what got them to where they are today, 9 times out of 10
they will say dedication. RING! RING! RING! I wake to an alarm clock that reads 5:15 AM
ringing in my ear. I swiftly get out of my bed, and put on my bathing suit. I dash downstairs, grab
my quick breakfast, hop in the freezing car and prepare for the 2.5 hour ride to the swim meet.
Gazing out the tinted window, all I see is towns with usual Saturday morning traffic, followed
miles of farmland. When we arrive at the pool, we need to walk through a thick snowstorm into a
half heated pool... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Friends/family. For example, during the spring of 2016, my Little League team had a great
playoff run, but I had two birthday parties of very close friends. I decided that I would miss the
first one, because if we didn t win we were out of the playoffs. That games I went 2 4 with two
HRs, which include the walk off HR. Smiling big, I knew that I would play in the game the next
day, and miss my other friend s birthday party. The next day we lost, I was disappointed that I
missed my friends party just to lose a game. Still, I felt a sense of pride that I was dedicated
enough to miss a very fun party for something, we were far from guaranteed to win. In
conclusion, dedication pays off. For example, with dedication to swimming I was able to qualify
for meets that I would have never qualified for without endless practices, that required constant
dedication. With dedication to learning jQuery, I have been able to develop apps that I would have
been able to make with out pushing through weeks of learning. Dedication is the difference from

The Environmental Issue Of Air Pollution Essay
The environmental issue for my Milestone project is Air pollution. Air pollution is the introduction
of particulates, biological molecules, and many harmful substances into Earth s atmosphere,
causing diseases, allergies, and death to humans, damage of other living organisms like animals and
crops, or the natural environment (National Geographic, 2016). Georgia air pollutionhas been a
focus for many years. Environmental protection Agency and Clean air act has been one of the main
contributors to controlling environmental air pollution from increasing. The research is on scholars,
chemicals and gases connected to air pollution and health hazards. Solution for Georgia is
conserving, alternative energy and renewable resources.
This paper will discuss some of the major problems with air pollution in Atlanta, Georgia. The
paper will also tell about the connection to health problem from air pollution from research and
scholars. Air pollution is a global problem in many different areas and with laws and agency there
is room for improvement. Some of the topic will be on chemicals and gases connected to air
pollution. I will also discuss finding a solution to some of the air pollution problems in Georgia.
In 2014 Georgia population was 10.1 million and growing. Population growth has been connected to
air pollution by each person ecological footprint. Ecological foot print is the impact of an individual
or community on the environment (Global footprint Network, 2016). The footprint

Survival Of The Sickest Summary
In his book Survival of the Sickest, Dr. Sharon Moalem examines several modern diseases, and
suggests that although they are harmful now, they may have once provided our ancestors with an
evolutionary advantage that was selected for. The book puts the present day view of disease and
medicine in a new light, providing the reader with an entirely new perspective on illness,
inheritance, and natural selection. Some of the afflictions Dr. Moalem discusses are
hemochromatosis, diabetes, and high cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia). The author offers
background knowledge about these conditions, their history, and goes on to explain the
evolutionary advantages they may have bestowed upon our ancestors, changing the reader s
mindset and creating new... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sharon Moalem discusses is hemochromatosis. Hemochromatosis is a disorder that disrupts iron
metabolization, by absorbing excess iron instead of passing it through the body, causing iron to
build up in the organs, especially the liver, heart and pancreas. The symptoms are joint pain, fatigue,
and weakness. It was first described by Armand Trousseau in 1865, but is thought to have originated
with the Vikings and spread throughout Northern and Western Europe. The genetic variant for
hemochromatosis is very common among people of Western European descent, but only one in two
hundred of those people have the disease with all of the assorted symptoms. Hemochromatosis can
be diagnosed through blood and genetic tests, and it can be treated through the ancient practice of
phlebotomy, or bloodletting. This lowers the amount of iron in the blood, and in the body, to safe
levels. But although it is easily treatable, if left unchecked, hemochromatosis can lead to serious
complications. As Dr. Moalem says, Unchecked, hemochromatosis can lead to liver failure, heart
failure, diabetes, arthritis, infertility, psychiatric disorders, and even cancer. Unchecked,
hemochromatosis will lead to death. Thus, before the days of genetic and blood testing,
hemochromatosis was a very dangerous disease, and often caused death in middle age. It is here
that Dr. Moalem raises the question: if hemochromatosis was so deadly, why was it passed down
for so many generations? Unless it provided our ancestors with an advantage, such a damaging
disease would not have remained in their gene

The Book Thhief By Sylvia Plath
Death is inevitable. Sylvia Plath, author of 1962 confessional poem, Lady Lazarus and Markus
Zusak author of 2005 historical fiction novel, The Book Thief explore the idea that a range
influences ultimately determine a person s final destiny. Zusak and Plath discuss this common idea
by utilising various literary techniques complementing the conventions of their respective text
types. Both authors highlight a range of key ideas such as, the idea that patriarchal standards within
society impact the protagonist s fate, the social influence relationships have on individuals and the
effect this has on their fate and the inevitable role death plays and the controlling influence death
has on life within their respective pieces.
Sylvia Plath and Markus Zusak both challenge the idea that patriarchal standards within society
influence the protagonist s fate in their texts. Sylvia Plath s Lady Lazarus is a reaction to the
oppressive nature of the patriarchy surrounding Plath during the early sixties. Lady Lazarus
reveals Plath s feelings of resentment in this semi autobiographical poem that grew from her
feeling trapped in a cyclical and oppressive environment. Plath employs allusion to the biblical tale
of Lazarus where she describes a, grave cave where she felt, at home. This captures Plath s
resentment towards the patriarchy as she feels that if she does not succumb to her desire to commit
suicide and thus control her fate, she will have to conform to the patriarchal

companies continues to rise. Carnival Corporation plc is one of the largest cruise companies in
the world has put orders for three new cruise ships to be built in China. This is in order to have
cruise ships that are going to different routes at a time, hence serving a more diverse customer
base (Vairo, Quagliati, Del Giudice, Barbucci, Fabiano, 2017). The company has already almost
exhausted the older generation of its customers. Carnival Corporation plc has however found it

One of the improvement initiatives that the company has been engaged with over the years is
improving the terms of its employees. These terms include their basic pay, overtime pay, rest
hours, medical service schemes and other benefits. This is because, in order for strategic
management and the objectives and goals of a business to be met, they need to have a satisfied
employee base. A satisfied employee base would then be motivated to do their job well. The
American Maritime Union has in the past cited the mistreatments, overworking, underpayment and
exploitation of employees in almost all the cruise ships. Carnival Corporation plc was one of the
cruise ship companies mentioned in this report. In order to improve this, the company has been
engaging with labor unions which represent the employees on the improvement of the above
mentioned terms. As a result, the company has been able to hire employees and run its operations
without running into trouble with unions about their staff. Its operations have therefore gone on

Comparison Between Confucianism And Taoism
Confucianism and Taoism are often referred to as rival philosophies. Both religions emerged in
ancient China around 5th 4th century BCE. Confucianism was founded by Kong Qui, otherwise
known as Confucius(Harbsmeier, 2013). Taoism was founded by Lao Tzu. Both of these founders
are considered two of the most influential philosophers and spiritual leaders native to China. Both
emerged as a result of the fall of the Zhou Dynasty (Sellman, 2006). Both of these religions
encourage their followers to live well rounded lives. Taoism is centered in nature and how it can
make one s life better and Confucianismis based on harmony with society.
Confucianism is both a philosophy and a religion (Mei, 2017). Confucianism is focused on setting
a good example (Harbsmeier, 2013). This is done through five relationships; ruler and subject,
wife and husband, older and younger sibling, friend and friend and father and son (Mei, 2017). It
is an all encompassing way of life focused on morals, humanity and ethics, and teaches that each
person should behave virtuously in every social setting (Mei, 2017). In contrast, Taoism focuses
on living harmoniously with everyone. Taoism is also considered a philosophy and a religion
which reaches into every aspect of an adherent s life (White Paper, 2003). Taoism is based on the
idea that the universe and everything in it moves because of a mysterious force or control known
as the Tao (Sellman, 2006). Tao is also used to describe human

How Is Miss Emily Grierson A Dynamic Character
Upon reading William Faulkner s A Rose for Emily, one discovers several colorful characters,
including one Miss Emily Grierson of Jefferson, Mississippi. Readers uncover her quirks and
specific character traits as seen through the eyes of the townspeople who are highly interested in
the goings on in her life. Miss Emily Grierson is a round yet static protagonist who is lonely,
unyielding to change, and overcome by her unfortunate life circumstances, and as such she should
not be considered a mad womanas many readers might accuse her of being.
Miss Emily lived her life almost throughout on display before the town of Jefferson and
ultimately this resulted in her lack of socialization and human interaction. The fault in this matter
lies with her father, the respected mayor of Jefferson, who protected her and kept her under
thumb, driving away every suitor that came to call. People came to picture poor Miss Emily as a
slender figure in white in the background, her father a spraddled silhouette in the foreground, his
back to her and clutching a horsewhip, the two of them framed by the back flung front door
(Faulkner 35). In this visualization, her father clearly stood between her and the real world as a
threatening and domineering figure. One might believe that such a prominent figure would interact
with the public on a daily basis in a positive manner, but it appears that the Grierson status only
encouraged the prying eyes of the townspeople to impede on Miss Emily s

The Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Last Things by...
Hieronymus Bosch created The Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Last Things around 1500. Bosch
made the tabletop painting with oil paint on wood panels; He created it in Brabant, which is
presently known as the Netherlands. Incredibly, this masterpiece was conceived as a piece of
furniture to adorn the bedroom in King Philip s Escorial palace. The Seven Deadly Sinsand the Four
Last Things enlightened people about sins and stopped many from committing wrongdoings by
instilling fear in people; It stopped people in their tracks and brought ethics to attention.
Hieronymus Bosch masterfully applies symbolism and literalism to illuminate the seven deadly
sins and the process of death.
Hieronymus Bosch, was born in Brabant, now known as the Netherlands, around 1450. He was
a northern European painter of the late Middle Ages, and is considered to be mysterious and
elusive in history. His inspiration to become an artist began because his father, brother and
uncles were painters, and therefore it is believed he was trained, or mentored, by a relative
growing up. He may have been influenced by his religious group for a period time, because a
majority of his art had religious themes. In 1488 he joined the highly esteemed Brotherhood of Our
Lady, an arch conservative religious group of around 40 influential citizens of Hertogenbosch, and
7,000 outer members from around Europe.
Religion heavily influenced his style because of his Catholic beliefs, and a majority of his works

What Is The Theme Of The Hobbit Book Vs Movie
Most people have heard of the movie The Hobbit. If not they might have heard of the book The
Hobbit: An unexpected Journey. The well known fantasy story directed by Peter Jackson, and
written by J.R.R. Tolkien has not only a story about fantasy, but a story about bravery, making a
difference, and not judging a book by its cover. In this case Bilbo Baggins. As I watched the movie
and followed the characters throughout their thrilling adventure, the movie kept me on my toes.
Not only was it well made, but the actors also acted the part very well and I don t think that anyone
could have done a better job with portraying the characters.
This movie is very interesting and unique in many ways. This movie follows around a small
hobbit named Bilbo Baggins who has lived a calm and quiet life, which was turned upside down
when a great wizard Gandalf, and a group of messy dwarves come into his life inviting him to go

good job showing the character development in the movie. Ian Mckellen also did an
extraordinary job with the role of Gandalf. Gandalf is the type of person that is wiser than most
and has great problem solving skills, yet for some reason is still a little ruff around the edges

Robert Smithson Essay
In the 1960s and 1970s Land Art was established in the United States using inspiration from the
minimalistic style that was very popular in the 1960s. Land Art, also called Earthworks, is an
interaction and study of the natural elements and manmade art.3 One of the most well known and
originators of Earthworks is Robert Smithson. Smithson created many inspirational pieces, which
have lasted throughout the years, not only through land artbut also with drawings, sculptures, films
and writings. Robert Smithson was born on January 2, 1938 in Passaic, New Jersey. He grew up

The crystalline shape represents not only how we view everything but also the illusions in nature.
1 Smithson did several more pieces involving mirrors and glass that incorporated natural materials
like shells and soil. Smithson became very interested in entropy, the measure of energy and the
disorder of an object or even in nature. He based many pieces both writings and sculptures on the
ideas that are associated with entropy. One of the main focuses was on the decay of natural life.3 In
the late 1960s Smithson started to create his earthworks. He started by making them as landmarkers
like a map using mostly natural materials. He started making his most commonly known piece, the
Spiral Jetty, in 1970 off of Utah s Great Salt Lake.1 It was the start to his large scale earthwork.
He was inspired by an Indian monument he saw in Ohio, the Great Serpent Mound. This was a
turning point for him; he was able to finally achieve his goal of putting work in the land and not
just on it.3 Smithson drew many pictures and took a lot of time planning his work out on paper
before he started to construct the real one. He took many photos during the process of making this
piece and displayed the pictures together as a collage with both pictures and maps.3 The Spiral

An explanation of the physiology of two named body systems in relation to energy metabolism in
the body. (P4)
In this assignment I will be explaining the physiology of two named body systems in relation to
energy metabolism in the body, the Respiration system and the Digestive system. I will start off by
giving a definition of energy metabolism in the body. Metabolism in the body is a collection of
chemical reactions that takes place in the body s cells. Metabolism converts the nutrients in the
food that we eat in to essential energy which is needed to power all that we do, from something as
little as thinking to growing physically or carrying out a physical activity. In our body s, there are a
specific protein which controls the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Discuss the role of energy in the body (M1)
In our bodies we need energy so that we could do things that are possible such as move our
muscles, talk and all the other things that we do. Without energy all humans would be useless
not being able to do anything. Energy is needed to extract the oxygen from the areas in our
bodies and diffuse it into our bloodstream. Supplying enough energy to support the functions of
the body in a daily basis is one of the main reasons for food. This energy comes from the fats,
carbohydrates, and proteins in the food you eat. Of the three, fat is the most concentrated source of
energy. Energy requirements are normally put in terms of calories. The energy requirement for a
person is spilt into two parts: basal metabolic requirements and energy required for activity. Basal
metabolic rate (BMR) is the heat taken from the body at rest when temperature is normal. An
average person requires 2000 2500 Calories per day while the difference for a large man doing
heavy work may require up to 6000 Calories per day. When you choose foods that have more
energy, or Calories than you need, the excess energy is stored as fat in the body which will
results in putting on some weight. If too little food is eaten to meet energy demands, the body s
stored fat serves as an energy source and this will result in weight loss. Your weight stays about the
same if the energy from food matches the energy requirements of the body. As warm blooded

Adoption Of A New Ehr
Despite some barriers and challenges of EHR adoption, transitioning our office to paperless has
become inevitable. Timely adoption of EHR would help our clinic receive incentives, merge paper
records into the new database, and better organize patient information. In order to ensure the most
seamless implementation possible, meticulous planning will be a must.
First, the process of acquiring a new EHR system will start with developing an office strategy
based on different needs of our clinic. Some critical questions should be asked such as what would
be the main goal to go paperless, what would be some features that my clinicians regard important,
would my practitioners need a remote access, or would they be committed in learning and using ...

Anita Ground also stresses on the huge importance of this planning stage by using a concept of
system life cycle. It consists of feasibility study, analysis, design, programming, implementation,
and lastly maintenance (Ground, 2011, VA TMS training material). The analysis phase in
particular would coincide with what the author Yoshihashi is presenting in figuring out office
strategy and researching EHR options. Identification of stakeholders and system requirement
would play a critical role in EHR adoption (Ground, 2011). Stakeholders would include patients,
family, clinicians, billing, registration, and coding as well as the external users such as Centers for
Disease Control (CDC) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Bottom line is that
the new system being purchased would need to provide meaningful use to the clinic based on the
current certification standards.
Health information technology (HIT) consultants would be able to provide valuable guidance in
filtering information and narrowing the search down to a few that can work for this clinic. In order
to get the best recommendation among many vendors out there, the following information would

St Gall Analysis
Introduction
The monastery plan of St. Gall is a document that uniquely captures an early medieval nature not
only in its architecture but also in its life forms.
This plan is one of the most remarkable visualizations of a building complex produced during the
early ninth century.
It provides direct insight into the organization of the medieval monastery.
Making of Plan / Physical Descriptions
The plan of St. Gall provides an overall snapshot of an institution of about forty buildings
inhabited by about 110 monks, with an equal number of laypeople who served as support staff.
The plan was drawn on parchment 30.5 inch x 44 inch sewn together from five separate pieces.
The building name /purpose is written in Latin using dark brown ink. The designer of this plan also
has a dedicatory legend indicated to the top margin above the cemetery/orchard.
The plan of St. Gall includes a church, scriptorium lodging for visiting monks, a monastic
dormitory, refectory, school, kitchen, bake and brew house, guest house, abbots residence, an
infirmary, numerous fields and industrial out buildings; along with fences, walls, gardens, orchids
and roads.
The plan of St. Gall is referred as a replication of an original prototype. This orchestration was not
concretely designed for a particular site. According to Prof. Mark Jarzombek s article, The

Designing A Successful Web Advertising And Marketing...
Search engine marketing providers have increased in significance and there have been a number of
traits enveloping the market. Most web optimization corporations are anticipated to know and
perceive the algorithms created for serps, but solely few are in a position to crack it with precision.
Some sites get extra guests than the others while some fail to get even some guests depending on
their online presence. It is the major job of an search engine optimisation specialist to spice up the
presence of the sites. The algorithms determine if the positioning web page needs to be in the first

online presence of a website to an important extent.
There are many steps to create a successful web advertising and marketing strategy associated to
natural search engine optimization providers which embrace several content material management

Tax Evasion And Tax Avoidance
1.0Introduction and Purpose of the Research
Over the years, the government has tried to combat tax avoidance and tax evasion schemes through
various approaches such as improvements to existing legislations, strict enforcements and
collaborations with international counterparts. This is done in effort of protecting the government s
main source of revenue and the integrity of the tax system. However, clear and distinctive
boundaries between tax evasion, avoidance and planning were never established in the legislation,
hence, it has caused many uncertainties. In Australia, the Court provides the judicial interpretation

2.0 Concepts and Impacts of Tax Evasion, Tax Avoidance and Tax Planning
2.1 Tax evasion, tax avoidance and tax planning
Distinctions between tax evasion, tax avoidance and tax planning are sometimes difficult to be
drawn in clear and precise manners. In general, however, tax evasion typically relates to illegal
practices done intentionally to avoid tax payment, whereas tax avoidance refers to legal
exploitations on the shortcomings of the tax legislations (Barkoczy 2015, p. 721; Leow, Murphy
Hooper 2010, p. 1026).
Generally, tax evasion involves concealment of tax liabilities, such as failure to disclose all
taxable income earned, and improper claims, such as deductions for expenses not incurred
(Barkoczy 2015, p. 721; ATO 2015a). Due to its legal implications, tax evasion is considered as
criminal offence and attracts pecuniary penalties and jail terms for the offenders (Barkoczy 2015,
p. 722). Conversely, tax avoidance, although uncommendable, is not illegal. Tax avoidance
typically involves taking advantage of concessional tax rates, shifting funds through several
entities to minimize tax payable (ATO 2015b), and exploiting tax breaks (ACTU 2011). Some
examples of tax evasion and avoidance practices can be seen from the following figure.
Figure 1 Source: GIZ 2010, p. 19
Unlike tax avoidance which tends to bypass the spirit of tax law (Barkoczy 2015, p. 721), tax
planning is a legitimate way of minimizing tax liabilities, if done in

Fatherlessness In The Father
The purpose of this paper is to examine the growing epidemic of fatherlessness as it affects all
aspects of American society today, as well as the potential role of the corporate body of the
Christian church together with each Christian individually is not only addressing the root of the
issue, but ultimately the symptoms as well. While experts agree that fathers play a crucial role in
the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being of children, nonetheless there remains a
growing ideology within our society today, from men and women alike, that touts no legitimate
need for fathers to exist within the familyframework. Thus, the poisonous fingers of fatherlessness

What caused Ranbir concern was the lack of consensus among the various stakeholder groups in the
Indian
Railways about the idea of tracking the rolling stock
(freight railcars, passenger coaches, locomotives). The need to automate such tracking especially
for freight railcars6 had been felt for almost two decades. Initially, the available technology was too
expensive, and experimental in nature; however, lately, technologies had stabilized, and costs had
come down. Various options had become available to automate the tracking, ranging from the use of
RFID tags to the use of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) based technology. Other available
alternatives were the use of optical tracking systems using OCR, or the use of hand held devices to
manually record wagon identification data.
Ranbir scrutinized the thick file of papers in front of him.
It described the pilot project for automatic wagon tracking, which had recently commenced. The
pilot project envisaged the use of RFID technology, already proven in North
American railroads and other Railways, to tag 500 coal hopper wagons (Figure 1). Three trackside
tag readers would be placed along one of the routes used for

The War Of The Great Depression
The post 1945 period was an interesting time to live in America. It is during this period that the
American dream became a reality for most Americans. Years of intensive wartime sacrifice were
over and gone was the poverty borne out of the Great Depression. The American dream was
being redefined and here stood a chance to own a house in your own land, a car and a dog.
Families that had put on hold getting another child finally put away their worries and the country
experienced a post war baby boom. Despite all the positives, it was also during this period that
racial fears were ripe. This coupled with the desire to vacate the decaying cities is what prompted a
huge number of white Americans to move to the suburbia area.
Within a very short time, suburbs had become very popular and they created an illusion of a
perfect traditional family. They became the latest glamorous countryside and every rich individual
wanted to be part of this perfection. There was however difficulties that was experienced in the
suburbs as a swelling population was experienced. The three novels White house, Revolutionary
road and parts of Mrs. Browns The hours all show the plight of Suburban American both in comic
and tragic lights. In Revolutionary road, there is possibly no other novel that perfectly captures the
uneasiness of the middle class American Suburban Community in the post war period. The book
shows what it is like to try and lead a revolutionary life in the American suburb. During the

Sexism In Christian Grey
Christian Grey in 2015 film Fifty Shades of Grey, originally a novel by E. L. James, is the man
of all women s dreams. Young, good looking, successful, wealthy, well mannered, charismatic, fit,
and sexy. He takes consent in a sexual relationship extremely seriously, so much so that he creates
a whole legal contract for a woman to sign before engaging in sexual activities. For Anastasia, the
film s female protagonist, he escorts her on his private helicopter, gives her the most extravagant
presents, and even pays for her birth control pills. How generous of him. On top of all that, he s

Christian s manipulation of Anastasia is especially notable, as he eventually brings Anastasia along
on BDSM practices that she never had a passion for. All he had to do was simply justify his
violent tendencies to Anastasia and the audience, which he successfully fulfills through the veil of
generosity. On the surface, Christian does all things that a heterosexual woman may want. He
makes time to meet Anastasia, he buys her luxurious presents that she could have never afforded
on her own, takes her on adventures such as glider riding, respects her input on sexual matters,
and lets her into his personal boundaries by sharing intimate stories about his sorrowful early life.
Such behavior, however, only functions to disguise Christian s sexual violence and maniacal
attachment to Anastasia, and portray him as a charismatic romantic. Fifty Shades of Grey, once it
was released, became the ultimate sexual fantasy for heterosexual women around the world,
implementing an idea that male authoritativeness is okay as long as he covers himself as a
generous (and hot) knight in shining armor. With the second movie of the series, Fifty Shades
Darker, on the verge of its release, the concern deepens for how long will Christian be seen behind

productivity in the workplace has improved so much that an employee can be reached almost

These results oriented workplaces create environments of healthier, happier workers, which produce
better work, on time. This paradigm shift of working smarter rather than punching a clock will
eventually take over business, though there is significant resistance in numerous workplaces.
Human resource departments are embracing this practice, as are visionary executives, and business
managers, making it very important to the next generation of business people to understand the
rules and frameworks that will result in greater productivity, and keep their employees healthier,
happier, and more productive. In an interview with David Hunnicutt, he cited the 7 benchmarks
from the Welcoa model for a results oriented workplace: attracting senior level support, creating
cohesive wellness teams, using data to drive health efforts, crafting an operating plan, choosing
appropriate interventions, creating supportive environments, and consistently evaluating
outcomes.1 We will discuss each of there benchmarks in detail. The results oriented workplace has
numerous benefits, both for the organization as well as for the individual employees. These include
an empowered population, striving to develop more efficient means to complete any task. This
results in greater profits for the company, resulting in hopefully more business. The first of the
benchmarks that Hunnicutt mentions is attaining the support of the senior leadership of your

Necrophilia Murder
Necrophilia and its Relation to Murder Necrophilia is defined as, recurrent sexually arousing
fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviors involving intercourse with dead bodies (Colman, 2009)
Necrophilia in the past has been something that presented itself as an opportunity because of where
someone worked. Professions that had people dealing with corpses on a daily basis lead to a form
of comfort around the bodies, then when a person became curious they would start to experiment
with the bodies. There are rumors that this was popular with the embalmers of ancient Egypt and
that it became necessary that the bodies of highly born women were not embalmed immediately
after deathbut allowed to become slightly putrid, as a deterrent. (Blakemore, Jennett, 2001) Krafft

Lastly, Necrophilic fantasy is thinking about having sex with a corpse but never acting on those
thoughts. (Rathus, 2005) Necrophilic fantasies have been considered therapeutically to result from
childhood trauma. Sometimes this can result from a humiliation, often from the mother, in regards
to the human body. (Lemma, 2013) It leads to again, the conclusion that the base of necrophilia is
to have a subject that is incapable of resistance or of rejection. Referring back to Ted Bundy, his

Similarities Between America And Greek Immigration

the only play she vocally states that judgment is needed, thus her implication of his disagreeable

Women Are Over Sexualised In The Music Industry Essay
Discussion
To find out whether people believe that women are being commodified in the music industry or not
I created a questionnaire. I asked an equal amount of men and women to get an even opinion from
both genders. The questionnaire had five questions that were:
1.What is your gender?
2.What would you prefer in a music video?
3.When watching a music video, what do you focus on more?
4.Do you think women are over sexualised in the music industry?
5.Do you think men are over sexualised in the music industry?
From conducting the questionnaire I can conclude that 95% of the people I asked believed that
women were being oversexualised. When watching a music video they focused more on the song
and choreography, than how attractive the people in the music video were. The results from the
questionnaire suggest that most people aren t superficial when it comes to the music industry,

The Grand Ole Opry Analysis
In the year 1927, George D. Hay a director at Nashville radio station was in his preparation to
kick off on his program that he introduced in the year 1925 (Kyriakoudes, 2004). The program
was known as the WSM Barn Dance that was locally listened to and was also well known
countrywide. When the program started, Hay introduced a mixture of comedy and hillbilly music
entertainment which was off schedule and later on the conductor who was known as Walter
Damrosch shut off the show which was airing at NBC network. They claimed that there was no
place in the classics for realism as country music had no place for lyrics or for writing music that
had reality inside them, (Kyriakoudes, 2004). However, it implies that Hay had introduced
musicians on his show that had meaningful music which compiled of both entertainment and

During this time, music was considered a form of entertainment but it was for Hay to introduce

Hay. He changed the show from an entertainment scene to a realism show by combining it with
country music with a lot of realism in it. This attracted criticism from Walter Damrosch but Hay
managed to push the country music through. The show attracted a number of singers and they
could pass to the public informative and educative messages that were aimed at changing the lives

Rise Of Humanity Dbq
Rise of Humanity The Renaissance was a period of discovery and somehow turned the world
upside down. The Middle Ages were dominated by the Roman Catholic Church with a focus on the
sinful man, few people owned land and most were illiterate. During the 1300 s, education started to
increase because improvements in farm production increased product, this allowed serfs and lords
to move to towns. The invention of the printing press spread the Renaissanceand humanist thinking
because books, bibles, and ect. were now available to common men. The Renaissance changed
man s view of the world in at least three ways: an emphasis on individualism, how one s life
should be lived and scientific discoveries. To begin with, the clearest reason of the break with the
tedious Medieval culture comes from the visual arts. To illustrate, images: Madonna Enthroned
Between Two Angels by Duccio di Buoninsegna, late 13th century, it shows Mother Mary on a
throne with the baby Jesus on her lap (Doc A). The Mother Mary and her child painting don t

In this case, an English play called Everyman introduced, For ye shall hear, how our Heaven
King Calleth Everyman to a general reckoning:* Give audience, and hear what he doth say (Doc
B). This medieval play focused on death, sin and the final judgment when God decides whether a
person is going to heaven or hell. This reflects Middle Ages perception that living on earth is
meaningless; it s afterlife that really matters. Although, Hamlet by William Shakespeare stated,
What a piece of work is a man... in apprehension like god! (Doc B). The passage from Hamlet, by
contrast, shows a man as somebody magnificent, not somebody simply doing time on Earth until
they die. Whereas in Everyman, people wait gloomily for God s verdict on the Day of Reckoning,
in the Shakespeare passage, man s ability to understand is like

Critical Points Of Current Knowledge
Review of Literature
A literature review is a text written by various authors to consider the critical points of current
knowledge including substantive findings, as well as theoretical and methodological contributions
to a particular topic. For any research work it is utmost important to create necessary theoretical
background. For this researcher mainly relied on the secondary information available in research
papers, books, business magazines, newspapers, survey reports of different companies etc. This

The research also makes it clear that improving RBS and the subsequent performance measurements
of readership and circulation must be a strategic imperative that has meaning and relevance to
everyone who works for the newspaper.
Mary Nesbitt and John Lavine in their research paper on Reinventing the Newspaper for Young
Adults in 2012 in their Research has shown that intensive implementation of the Readership
Institute s experience research can produce positive outcomes with a crucial audience. When
given a choice between traditional Newspaper and ad E paper content that has been intentionally
chosen and presented to improve their reading experience, young adult readers clearly and
strongly prefer the Traditional Newspaper. It was clear that there are many definite reasons to
choose Traditional Newspaper. Now its a time for newspapers and publishing houses to develop
and test a variety of approaches and use those experiences to increase the Readership.
Mary Nesbitt Steve Duke in their article about The Experience of Newspaper published in may
2008 The Experience of the research Paper was clearly a favourite over the other former research,

Traits That Make Up The Best NBA Player
Traits that Make up the Best Current NBA players The game is set, it s the 2017 NBA all star

from dunks can be heard. The spotlight is on when these East and West all stars are on the court:
most of these players MVPs, league leaders, and NBA champions. They are the league s best,
and the best in the world as they astonish the crowds when they show off their talent. But it takes
a lot of great traits for these players to be considered the best in the league and make it to the 2017

The best defensive player in the league, and NBA champion, and western conference all star starter
Kawhi Leonard demonstrates this ability. The San Antonio Spursforward Kawhi Leonard won
defensive MVP in 2015 16 and is also one of the best players in the league, averaging 25 points
per game and 2 steals per game. Another great player who also has great defensive
characteristics is Paul George of the Indiana Pacers. When not on the floor the Pacers are one of
the worst defensive teams, but when he is on the court they become 6th defensively. He is almost
single handling leading the Pacers to a playoff position this year, at the 6th seed as of right now.
The final great current NBA player whose great defensive ability makes him strive is Detroit Pistons
center Andre Drummond. Drummond is the anchor of the Pistons, and a defensive monster,
averaging 1.6 blocks per game. Andre is leading the NBA with a defensive rating of 93, and is
one of the best at defending the paint. That is how all great current NBA players share a trait of
great defense to make them the best current NBA players, examples are Kawhi Leonard, Paul
George, and Andre Drummond.
All good current NBA players should have good athleticism, good defense, or clutch ability. By
having all of these qualities, these players take over the league. They get swarmed with fans,
endorsements, publicity, and most of all money.

Land Biomes Research Paper
A huge part that makes the Earth different from any other planet is the diverse environments or
biomes that make up the lands. The different environments help create the different cultures
around the world which help shape people personalities and their everyday lifestyle. Each biome
has different factors in them that describe them which are their cultures and the three main types
of land biomes are the tundra, grassland/desert and forest. The tundra is the lease populated biome
on the Earth due to its extremely low temperatures and excessive amount of snow and ice. One
group of people called The Inuit are brave enough to live on coastal areas of Arctictundra including
places like Canada, Alaska (USA), Siberia (Russia), and Greenland and within them even smaller
groups are formed based on their location within the tundra. Some people share common ancestors
but even if they do not most groups have similar ways of living in the Arctic. Inuit traditionally
hunted for seals, whales, polar bears, caribou, birds and other animals from the ocean and the...

Most of the people who live in the desert do not really live in one place for a long period of time
since they are nomadic and move frequently in search of water. The few people that settle in the
desert raise crops on irrigated land in an oasis. They wear white flowing robes and turbans to
protect their head and eyes against the blazing sun. Oases in the desert are few and far between
and this is where trading activities are carried out. People trade wool, animal s skins and even
buy and sell animals to make money. When the nomadic people decide to stay in one place for a

The Onset Of Bulimia Nervosa
The purpose of the study is to identify what may be the onset of bulimia nervosa and whether or
not it is related to a person being subjected to criticism based on their weight/ shape and eating
habits. This is the first of studies that take a look at a year prior to having bulimia nervosa. This
study was conducted through a control case study which is a study that looks at both a group that
does have a disorder and a group that does not have the disorder. It also determines if a factor
affects either of the groups and how that factor affects it. The study observed three separate group
of women. The women with eating disorders were recruited from eating disorder treatment settings,
which were women who were previously diagnosed with bulimia nervosa. The healthy women
along with women with a psychiatric diagnosis were recruited from high schools and university
campuses. A total of 180 women were observed. The first group of sixty women was women
who had bulimia nervosa and ranged between the ages of 15 38. The second group, which were
the healthy women, their age ranged from 15 39. The healthy women reported not being
diagnosed with any disorder. The last group of sixty women s ages ranged from 14 38 and they
were diagnosed as having psychiatric disorders. The study was done on all Caucasian women.

Examples Of Technology In The Veldt By Ray Bradbury
As technology continues to develop throughout time, humanity relies more and more on it.
Technology surrounds everyone today from the cars people drive, and the phones people are
constantly on. Technology is consuming our lives, and Ray Bradbury worries about our future.
He portrays this message in his short story The Veldt. In this short story, Bradbury creates a
family who live in a house with advanced technology. The purpose of the house is to make the
families lives easier, but the parents soon realize the damage they have done by letting their
kids rely on technology as another parent. Ray Bradbury uses personification and foreshadowing
in The Veldt to show the separation of parents and children because of neglect occurring from
the dependence on technology. Bradbury uses foreshadowing in the veldt to convey the
growing separation of a family. He provides information in the veldt that foreshadows the
children s plans for their parents. For example, the dad discovers his wallet in the nursery and
Bradbury describe it as with drops of saliva on it, it had been chewed, and there was blood
smears on both sides (Bradbury 8). As the reader, it is simple to infer that the parents are the ones
getting devoured by the lions. This means that the children don t bother for their parents anymore,
and only show affliction for the house. Another example is when the dad finds his wife s scarf
covered in blood inside the nursery. As before, this foreshadows the split

Uneven Distribution of Life in America
The wealth gap between the rich and the poor continues to grow in America as it has in recent
decades. Wealth distribution in America has not been this unequal since 1928, the year before the
Great Depression started. The richest four hundred people in America have more money than the
one hundred fifty million poorest Americans combined. The wealthgap needs to shrink due to the
negative repercussions of wealth inequality. Wealth inequality leads to inequality in other aspects of
life. Uneven distribution of wealthstunts economic growth as well as limits socio economic
mobility. It also leads to a shorter lifespan for the less wealthy.
In recent years, the issue of this uneven distribution of wealth in America has come to the
forefront. President Obama even dedicated part of his last State of the Union address to this
problem. Statistics revealing the distribution of wealth to each social class is easily obtainable
for the general public. But, the uneven distribution of wealth is not a problem that developed
overnight. The gap in wealth between the rich and the poor has been growing for decades.
Uneven wealth distribution became an issue once before in America, in the 1920 s. A small group
of people were beginning to point out that most of the wealth in America was in the hands of a few
wealthy men. This idea was not shared by the vast majority though. A New York Times article that
was written in 1921 dismisses the uneven wealth distribution talk as socialist propaganda .

It is stated that Victoria Chemicals has direct ownership of the tank cars, therefore the extra cost of
the transport division which are directly or indirectly associated with the implementation of the
project has to be taken into account in the DCF analysis. The main argument in light of this issue
is, the project will only have extra profitability if its additional polypropylene productions are
distributed in a cost efficient manner, in which it will directly increase the cost of the transport
division, and thus it should be incorporated in the profitability analysis of the project. Table 1: Cost
Associated with the Transport Division Factors| Cost| Additional tank cars | ВЈ2 million |
Additional cost of fuel for transporting| 7% increment | Additional operating expense | ВЈ300,000
increment (conservative) | Sales Marketing Department and the Project Scenario 1: If the market
is currently in an economic recession and the polypropylene industry is heading towards a
downturn, thus sales amount will decrease. In this case, even though the project will result in
additional production at lower cost, it will not be fully utilized as the demand of polypropylene
decreases and any additional output will be stored in inventory, which will in turn increase the
storage cost. Scenario 2: In an economic recovery, as

Marshall Island consist of 29 atolls and Bikini atoll is located at Pacific Ocean on the northern

the Marshall Islands where they used it as a base for military operations. The League of Nations
awarded a mandate to the Japanese after the war under the authority of article 22 of the League of
Nations charter. The United States conducted the first nuclear test after the World War II; the

products such as clothes, electronics, houseware and etc. Kohl s also has a great online customer
service as well as everyday deal advertisements that include free shipping. I read a quote regarding

A Modest Proposal Essay
Have You Eaten Yet?: Swift s Final Solution
amp;#9;As a lately favored eighteenth century essay, Jonathan Swift s amp;quot;Proposal

essay is often seen as an allegory for England s oppression of Ireland. Swift, himself and Irishman
(Tucker 142), would seem to have pointed his razor wit against the foreign nation responsible for
his city s ruin. Wearing the lens of a New Historicist, however, requires that we reexamine the
power structures at work in Swift s society. We must delve into not only Swift s

Two Cities Revolution
Before the arrival of the French Revolution, more than 40,000 people were killed during a period

the government and start a new one. During the course of 4 weeks, I was given the task to research
revolutions and make a presentation on it by using internet sources and in class books. After that

These actions by the government can eventually lead to a revolution because the government is
being unfair and unjust to its citizen. Furthermore, the prime minister isn t admitting his
wrongdoing which can also be a factor in causing a revolution. Another key point is that in the
novel A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, Dickens intelligently illustrates the coming of a
revolution in Book 1, Chapter 5: The Wine Shop and Book 2, Chapter 7 9. Everyone nearby had
stopped what they were doing and ran to drink the spilled wine. He tossed a gold coin on the
ground for the driver to pick up, and everyone leaned forward to watch it as it fell. The tall man
cried out again desperately, He s dead! Small signs of their poverty were everywhere. They were
taxed by the state, by the church, and by the lord. The first piece of evidence tells the reader the
suffering and hardship that the peasants are going through which will eventually cause them to
revolt. In the second part of the evidence, He refers to the Marquis. There are two significant parts

  • 2. Never Give Me Research Paper Doesn t everyone need at least one piece of advice? It could be as little as something like using your brilliant little head, or just challenge yourself at anything that is complex. Everyone needs a light to follow and someone to help them in a certain way. If I could give anyone some advice, I would actually give it to myself in the future. I would tell myself to be magnificent in school, never give up, and don t be a jerk to anyone. Without a doubt, I would certainly tell myself to do fantastic in school. I know for a fact that for about everyone in the world, they need to have good grades in school to have a happy, and entertaining life. If I ever wanted to be a doctor or a lawyer, then I would certainly have to do my best in school and study as hard as I can. If I didn t care about school and didn t even try to get grand grades, then there wouldn t be a good chance that when I grow up to be a full grown man, I won t be happy and won t be doing what I had always dreamed of doing. So even if someone isn t that bright inside but tries to their maximum length, then they will for sure be living a delightful life with a family.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Everyone needs to have hope in themselves, even when the chances are that a comet could fall right down on you when you are watering your plants. It is true that when someone just gives up and doesn t believe, then they will just give up on everything and everything will just keep getting worse and worse. So if I just keep on trying to reach the top of the ladder, than I could become the next basketball star, or I could create a business better than Walmart. It is good in life to fail sometimes instead of just always succeeding, because that makes you tougher inside and keeps you from giving up and losing hope. Overall, it would make me a better human ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Why Dedication Is Important Dedication is being committed to a task or purpose. Dedication is what gets you out of bed at 5 a.m in the morning to go swim 3 miles in water than feel like it should be ice, not water. Dedication is what makes you want to work harder at something you may not have mastered quiet yet. If you ask any pro athlete what got them to where they are today, 9 times out of 10 they will say dedication. RING! RING! RING! I wake to an alarm clock that reads 5:15 AM ringing in my ear. I swiftly get out of my bed, and put on my bathing suit. I dash downstairs, grab my quick breakfast, hop in the freezing car and prepare for the 2.5 hour ride to the swim meet. Gazing out the tinted window, all I see is towns with usual Saturday morning traffic, followed miles of farmland. When we arrive at the pool, we need to walk through a thick snowstorm into a half heated pool... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Friends/family. For example, during the spring of 2016, my Little League team had a great playoff run, but I had two birthday parties of very close friends. I decided that I would miss the first one, because if we didn t win we were out of the playoffs. That games I went 2 4 with two HRs, which include the walk off HR. Smiling big, I knew that I would play in the game the next day, and miss my other friend s birthday party. The next day we lost, I was disappointed that I missed my friends party just to lose a game. Still, I felt a sense of pride that I was dedicated enough to miss a very fun party for something, we were far from guaranteed to win. In conclusion, dedication pays off. For example, with dedication to swimming I was able to qualify for meets that I would have never qualified for without endless practices, that required constant dedication. With dedication to learning jQuery, I have been able to develop apps that I would have been able to make with out pushing through weeks of learning. Dedication is the difference from good to ... • 5. Survival Of The Sickest Summary In his book Survival of the Sickest, Dr. Sharon Moalem examines several modern diseases, and suggests that although they are harmful now, they may have once provided our ancestors with an evolutionary advantage that was selected for. The book puts the present day view of disease and medicine in a new light, providing the reader with an entirely new perspective on illness, inheritance, and natural selection. Some of the afflictions Dr. Moalem discusses are hemochromatosis, diabetes, and high cholesterol (hypercholesterolemia). The author offers background knowledge about these conditions, their history, and goes on to explain the evolutionary advantages they may have bestowed upon our ancestors, changing the reader s mindset and creating new... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sharon Moalem discusses is hemochromatosis. Hemochromatosis is a disorder that disrupts iron metabolization, by absorbing excess iron instead of passing it through the body, causing iron to build up in the organs, especially the liver, heart and pancreas. The symptoms are joint pain, fatigue, and weakness. It was first described by Armand Trousseau in 1865, but is thought to have originated with the Vikings and spread throughout Northern and Western Europe. The genetic variant for hemochromatosis is very common among people of Western European descent, but only one in two hundred of those people have the disease with all of the assorted symptoms. Hemochromatosis can be diagnosed through blood and genetic tests, and it can be treated through the ancient practice of phlebotomy, or bloodletting. This lowers the amount of iron in the blood, and in the body, to safe levels. But although it is easily treatable, if left unchecked, hemochromatosis can lead to serious complications. As Dr. Moalem says, Unchecked, hemochromatosis can lead to liver failure, heart failure, diabetes, arthritis, infertility, psychiatric disorders, and even cancer. Unchecked, hemochromatosis will lead to death. Thus, before the days of genetic and blood testing, hemochromatosis was a very dangerous disease, and often caused death in middle age. It is here that Dr. Moalem raises the question: if hemochromatosis was so deadly, why was it passed down for so many generations? Unless it provided our ancestors with an advantage, such a damaging disease would not have remained in their gene ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Book Thhief By Sylvia Plath Death is inevitable. Sylvia Plath, author of 1962 confessional poem, Lady Lazarus and Markus Zusak author of 2005 historical fiction novel, The Book Thief explore the idea that a range influences ultimately determine a person s final destiny. Zusak and Plath discuss this common idea by utilising various literary techniques complementing the conventions of their respective text types. Both authors highlight a range of key ideas such as, the idea that patriarchal standards within society impact the protagonist s fate, the social influence relationships have on individuals and the effect this has on their fate and the inevitable role death plays and the controlling influence death has on life within their respective pieces. Sylvia Plath and Markus Zusak both challenge the idea that patriarchal standards within society influence the protagonist s fate in their texts. Sylvia Plath s Lady Lazarus is a reaction to the oppressive nature of the patriarchy surrounding Plath during the early sixties. Lady Lazarus reveals Plath s feelings of resentment in this semi autobiographical poem that grew from her feeling trapped in a cyclical and oppressive environment. Plath employs allusion to the biblical tale of Lazarus where she describes a, grave cave where she felt, at home. This captures Plath s resentment towards the patriarchy as she feels that if she does not succumb to her desire to commit suicide and thus control her fate, she will have to conform to the patriarchal ... One of the improvement initiatives that the company has been engaged with over the years is improving the terms of its employees. These terms include their basic pay, overtime pay, rest hours, medical service schemes and other benefits. A satisfied employee base would then be motivated to do their job well. The American Maritime Union has in the past cited the mistreatments, overworking, underpayment and exploitation of employees in almost all the cruise ships. Carnival Corporation plc was one of the cruise ship companies mentioned in this report. In order to improve this, the company has been engaging with labor unions which represent the employees on the improvement of the above mentioned terms. • 9. Comparison Between Confucianism And Taoism Confucianism and Taoism are often referred to as rival philosophies. Both religions emerged in ancient China around 5th 4th century BCE. Confucianism was founded by Kong Qui, otherwise known as Confucius(Harbsmeier, 2013). Taoism was founded by Lao Tzu. Both of these founders are considered two of the most influential philosophers and spiritual leaders native to China. Both emerged as a result of the fall of the Zhou Dynasty (Sellman, 2006). Both of these religions encourage their followers to live well rounded lives. Taoism is centered in nature and how it can make one s life better and Confucianismis based on harmony with society. Confucianism is both a philosophy and a religion (Mei, 2017). Confucianism is focused on setting a good example (Harbsmeier, 2013). This is done through five relationships; ruler and subject, wife and husband, older and younger sibling, friend and friend and father and son (Mei, 2017). It is an all encompassing way of life focused on morals, humanity and ethics, and teaches that each person should behave virtuously in every social setting (Mei, 2017). In contrast, Taoism focuses on living harmoniously with everyone. Taoism is also considered a philosophy and a religion which reaches into every aspect of an adherent s life (White Paper, 2003). Taoism is based on the idea that the universe and everything in it moves because of a mysterious force or control known as the Tao (Sellman, 2006). Tao is also used to describe human ... Maya Angelou, or as she was originally called Marguerite Annie Johnson, was born on April 4, 1928, in St. Louis, Missouri. Maya Angelouwas an American Poet, a storyteller, a civil rights activist, a singer, a songwriter, a dancer, a director, a historian, a teacher, an actor, and an autobiographer. • 11. How Is Miss Emily Grierson A Dynamic Character Upon reading William Faulkner s A Rose for Emily, one discovers several colorful characters, including one Miss Emily Grierson of Jefferson, Mississippi. Readers uncover her quirks and specific character traits as seen through the eyes of the townspeople who are highly interested in the goings on in her life. Miss Emily Grierson is a round yet static protagonist who is lonely, unyielding to change, and overcome by her unfortunate life circumstances, and as such she should not be considered a mad womanas many readers might accuse her of being. Miss Emily lived her life almost throughout on display before the town of Jefferson and ultimately this resulted in her lack of socialization and human interaction. The fault in this matter lies with her father, the respected mayor of Jefferson, who protected her and kept her under thumb, driving away every suitor that came to call. People came to picture poor Miss Emily as a slender figure in white in the background, her father a spraddled silhouette in the foreground, his back to her and clutching a horsewhip, the two of them framed by the back flung front door (Faulkner 35). In this visualization, her father clearly stood between her and the real world as a threatening and domineering figure. One might believe that such a prominent figure would interact with the public on a daily basis in a positive manner, but it appears that the Grierson status only encouraged the prying eyes of the townspeople to impede on Miss Emily s ... • 12. The Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Last Things by... Hieronymus Bosch created The Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Last Things around 1500. Bosch made the tabletop painting with oil paint on wood panels; He created it in Brabant, which is presently known as the Netherlands. Incredibly, this masterpiece was conceived as a piece of furniture to adorn the bedroom in King Philip s Escorial palace. The Seven Deadly Sinsand the Four Last Things enlightened people about sins and stopped many from committing wrongdoings by instilling fear in people; It stopped people in their tracks and brought ethics to attention. Hieronymus Bosch masterfully applies symbolism and literalism to illuminate the seven deadly sins and the process of death. Hieronymus Bosch, was born in Brabant, now known as the Netherlands, around 1450. He was a northern European painter of the late Middle Ages, and is considered to be mysterious and elusive in history. His inspiration to become an artist began because his father, brother and uncles were painters, and therefore it is believed he was trained, or mentored, by a relative growing up. He may have been influenced by his religious group for a period time, because a majority of his art had religious themes. In 1488 he joined the highly esteemed Brotherhood of Our Lady, an arch conservative religious group of around 40 influential citizens of Hertogenbosch, and 7,000 outer members from around Europe. Religion heavily influenced his style because of his Catholic beliefs, and a majority of his works express ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. What Is The Theme Of The Hobbit Book Vs Movie Most people have heard of the movie The Hobbit. If not they might have heard of the book The Hobbit: An unexpected Journey. The well known fantasy story directed by Peter Jackson, and written by J.R.R. Tolkien has not only a story about fantasy, but a story about bravery, making a difference, and not judging a book by its cover. In this case Bilbo Baggins. As I watched the movie and followed the characters throughout their thrilling adventure, the movie kept me on my toes. Not only was it well made, but the actors also acted the part very well and I don t think that anyone could have done a better job with portraying the characters. This movie is very interesting and unique in many ways. This movie follows around a small hobbit named Bilbo Baggins who has lived a calm and quiet life, which was turned upside down when a great wizard Gandalf, and a group of messy dwarves come into his life inviting him to go on a trip that not only out of his comfort zone, but something that seems out of grasp to a mere hobbit. Ian Mckellen also did an extraordinary job with the role of Gandalf. Gandalf is the type of person that is wiser than most and has great problem solving skills, yet for some reason is still a little ruff around the edges and Ian shows this in the movie and I was really impressed with his acting in the movie. The rest of the actors did a very good job as well although I must say my favorite character is one that wasn t acted out by anyone at all, which is Gollum, I really love his ... Land Art, also called Earthworks, is an interaction and study of the natural elements and manmade art.3 One of the most well known and originators of Earthworks is Robert Smithson. Smithson created many inspirational pieces, which have lasted throughout the years, not only through land artbut also with drawings, sculptures, films and writings. He based many pieces both writings and sculptures on the ideas that are associated with entropy. One of the main focuses was on the decay of natural life.3 In the late 1960s Smithson started to create his earthworks. He started by making them as landmarkers like a map using mostly natural materials. He started making his most commonly known piece, the Spiral Jetty, in 1970 off of Utah s Great Salt Lake.1 It was the start to his large scale earthwork. He was inspired by an Indian monument he saw in Ohio, the Great Serpent Mound. This was a turning point for him; he was able to finally achieve his goal of putting work in the land and not just on it.3 Smithson drew many pictures and took a lot of time planning his work out on paper before he started to construct the real one. He took many photos during the process of making this piece and displayed the pictures together as a collage with both pictures and maps.3 The Spiral Jetty is still there today. After he ... (P4) In this assignment I will be explaining the physiology of two named body systems in relation to energy metabolism in the body, the Respiration system and the Digestive system. I will start off by giving a definition of energy metabolism in the body. Metabolism in the body is a collection of chemical reactions that takes place in the body s cells. Metabolism converts the nutrients in the food that we eat in to essential energy which is needed to power all that we do, from something as little as thinking to growing physically or carrying out a physical activity. Discuss the role of energy in the body (M1) In our bodies we need energy so that we could do things that are possible such as move our muscles, talk and all the other things that we do. Without energy all humans would be useless not being able to do anything. Energy is needed to extract the oxygen from the areas in our bodies and diffuse it into our bloodstream. Supplying enough energy to support the functions of the body in a daily basis is one of the main reasons for food. This energy comes from the fats, carbohydrates, and proteins in the food you eat. Of the three, fat is the most concentrated source of energy. Energy requirements are normally put in terms of calories. The energy requirement for a person is spilt into two parts: basal metabolic requirements and energy required for activity. Basal metabolic rate (BMR) is the heat taken from the body at rest when temperature is normal. An average person requires 2000 2500 Calories per day while the difference for a large man doing heavy work may require up to 6000 Calories per day. When you choose foods that have more energy, or Calories than you need, the excess energy is stored as fat in the body which will results in putting on some weight. If too little food is eaten to meet energy demands, the body s stored fat serves as an energy source and this will result in weight loss. Your weight stays about the same if the energy from food matches the energy requirements of the body. As warm blooded ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Timely adoption of EHR would help our clinic receive incentives, merge paper records into the new database, and better organize patient information. In order to ensure the most seamless implementation possible, meticulous planning will be a must. First, the process of acquiring a new EHR system will start with developing an office strategy based on different needs of our clinic. Identification of stakeholders and system requirement would play a critical role in EHR adoption (Ground, 2011). Stakeholders would include patients, family, clinicians, billing, registration, and coding as well as the external users such as Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Bottom line is that the new system being purchased would need to provide meaningful use to the clinic based on the current certification standards. Health information technology (HIT) consultants would be able to provide valuable guidance in filtering information and narrowing the search down to a few that can work for this clinic. In general, however, tax evasion typically relates to illegal practices done intentionally to avoid tax payment, whereas tax avoidance refers to legal exploitations on the shortcomings of the tax legislations (Barkoczy 2015, p. 721; Leow, Murphy Hooper 2010, p. 1026). Generally, tax evasion involves concealment of tax liabilities, such as failure to disclose all taxable income earned, and improper claims, such as deductions for expenses not incurred (Barkoczy 2015, p. 721; ATO 2015a). Due to its legal implications, tax evasion is considered as criminal offence and attracts pecuniary penalties and jail terms for the offenders (Barkoczy 2015, p. 722). Conversely, tax avoidance, although uncommendable, is not illegal. Tax avoidance typically involves taking advantage of concessional tax rates, shifting funds through several entities to minimize tax payable (ATO 2015b), and exploiting tax breaks (ACTU 2011). Some examples of tax evasion and avoidance practices can be seen from the following figure. Everyone has a different story, whether it s something big like immigration or something small like family tradition. These differences don t pull us apart, but show us how unique we are and that being the same isn t always the best. While the typical Greek immigrant left due to economic failure, prospered in America, and brought their rich culture with them, the same cannot be said for my family. While there were some similarities between the immigration of the typical Greek and my family, there are also many differences. For instance, when Tuscan informs Oroonoko that his wife and children may not be fit to escape through the mountains and woods Oroonoko says, if there were a woman among them so degenerate from love and virtue to choose slavery before the pursuit of her husband, and with the hazard of her life to share with him in his fortunes, that such a one out to be abandoned (2217). Technology surrounds everyone today from the cars people drive, and the phones people are constantly on. Technology is consuming our lives, and Ray Bradbury worries about our future. He portrays this message in his short story The Veldt. In this short story, Bradbury creates a family who live in a house with advanced technology. The purpose of the house is to make the families lives easier, but the parents soon realize the damage they have done by letting their kids rely on technology as another parent. Ray Bradbury uses personification and foreshadowing in The Veldt to show the separation of parents and children because of neglect occurring from the dependence on technology. Bradbury uses foreshadowing in the veldt to convey the growing separation of a family. He provides information in the veldt that foreshadows the children s plans for their parents. For example, the dad discovers his wallet in the nursery and Bradbury describe it as with drops of saliva on it, it had been chewed, and there was blood smears on both sides (Bradbury 8). As the reader, it is simple to infer that the parents are the ones getting devoured by the lions. This means that the children don t bother for their parents anymore, and only show affliction for the house. Another example is when the dad finds his wife s scarf covered in blood inside the nursery. As before, this foreshadows the split ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The wealthgap needs to shrink due to the negative repercussions of wealth inequality. Wealth inequality leads to inequality in other aspects of life.
