Shrikant N Pangarkar is a 66-year-old mechanical engineer and business executive with over 37 years of experience in various functions and industries. He has an MTech from IIT Mumbai and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. Pangarkar has handled production, operations management, and general management roles in industries such as automotive, engineering, and plastics. In 1999, he started a hydraulic disc brakes business for Bosch that was later separated into a joint venture, where he served as CEO until retiring in 2008. Since then, he has consulted for various companies on business growth, restructuring, and new market development in India.

I have handled technical, operational and commercial functions, leadership functions and
relationships with suppliers, customers and collaborators. I started the business of Hydraulic
Discs Brakes for 2 wheelers & Wet brakes for Agricultural Tractors in 1999 as a part of Bosch
Chassis Systems India Ltd. Identified collaborators, effected technology transfer, development
of market & products.
2. This Disc Brake business was separated in 2006 by forming a JV.
I built the factory, successfully established the business in new factory, and was elevated as ED
& CEO of this multinational company. I have personally created the market from concept stage.
I retired from Bosch on 7th June 2008. Thereafter I worked as Executive Director & CEO of
Brembo Brake India for 2.5 years till end 2010.
Having worked in different types of industries and maintaining relationships as above, I am
culturally very adaptable and am confident of producing results in a given culture. I was
chargeable for Complete P & L responsibility and running the company. I was instrumental
in tying up 5 collaboration agreements.
Other Assignments (Management Consultancy)
I was working with Bosch Chassis Systems India on a Business Restructuring Project. I have
successfully completed that project.
I am also working with the TVS group to help them in formulating strategies for Business
Growth & Mentoring of Senior Executives.
Also currently working as Consultant to a Japanese Brake Company to set up business in INDIA.
