Kate is driving in her car crying when she pulls over overwhelmed with emotion. She makes herself a cup of tea at home and looks through mail, finding an old locked box of files. Inside are documents that shock her, causing her to frantically call her friend Jane for help understanding what she's discovered. The documents reveal a painful truth from Kate's past that makes her burn a photo in the fireplace, overwhelmed with emotion at what she has learned.
