The document outlines a shooting schedule for a music video with 13 shots. Shot One shows the actor walking along the beach from different angles to introduce the song. Shot Two is a medium close-up of the actor singing the opening verse on the beach before changing locations. Shot Three has the actor singing the second verse in a park, walking and then sitting on a swing. The remaining shots consist of various locations and camera angles that depict the mood and lyrics of the song, including dancing, hugging to portray love, sitting on a bench and swing, and walking away at the end to close the video.
1. Shooting Schedule
Shot Number Description
Shot One In this shot I will use a long shot that will show all of my actors
body whilst he is walking along the beach. There will be no miming
at this point, as this will be for the intro music. As the song takes 18
seconds to begin I will have a shot showing the front, back and side
of him whilst walking.
Shot Two In this second shot I will use a medium close up of my actor singing
the opening to the song; this will also be whilst he is on the beach.
After he has sang the opening verse I will change to another
location.
Shot Three In this shot we will be in a park whilst he sings the second verse,
whilst he is in the park he will be walking for a few lines and then
sat on a swing for the remainder of the verse.
Shot Four For this next shot the verse if fairly short so I will just have the
camera focused on my actor but as it repeats “No more” twice I will
change the camera shot for the second time he sings it.
Shot Five As there is around 10 seconds between these two verses I will have
different shots of my actor walking and dancing in different
locations to match the mood of the song.
Shot Six In this shot my actor will be sat against a wall with it cross cutting
from this shot to him dancing as this is similar to what happens in
the music video except it’s a different type of performance.
Shot Seven When it sings about “love” I will have shots of my actor making a
love heart symbol with his hands and then hugging with other
people, which will portray love.
Shot Eight In the next scenes I will be showing my actor with friends being all
laid back and casual whilst showing some shots of nature i.e. the
beach etc.
Shot Nine When he sings the mirror scene I will have him in a
mirror/reflection singing, which could represent the lyrics, or I
could have him making some faces to reflect the mood.
Shot Ten For the next shot I will have my actor sat on a bench tapping his feet
and moving his head whilst singing as it is similar to the song and
the mood at the time.
Shot Eleven For the next shot I will have my actor walking about again and then
sat on the swing again just with some different camera shots
(maybe where he will be holding the camera himself)
Shot Twelve For the next verse I will have a few different varieties of shots that
will shot my actor singing the verse so that I have included some
more techniques.
Shot Thirteen For the closing credits of the song I will have my character walking
away from the camera as it shows the video/story is coming to an
end.
