Sales Presentation (1 student)
• Create and execute effective sales presentation
• Scenario provided mid September
• Buyer-Seller role play with panel of judges
• 20 minute sales presentation day of the event
• Your goal is to get the order!

Job Interview (1 student)
• Interview for an entry-level
position in marketing
• Receive job description
mid September
• Prepare and send Cover Letter & Resume
2 weeks prior to the event
• 20 minute interview with panel of judges

Quiz Bowl Event
• Game show format
• Each team consists of 4 students randomly
selected from participating colleges
• Moderator reads question
• Hit buzzer as soon as you know answer

How Do I Apply?
• It’s easy!
• Go to http://ocmc2015.eventbrite.ca
• Fill out application
• Must include a Faculty sponsor as a reference
• Deadline: Monday, April 13th

What Happens Next?
• Applications are reviewed and students are
selected based on various factors including:
• Experience
• Faculty sponsor remarks
• If selected, you will be required to attend the
“The Cage Match”

The Cage Match
When: Thursday April 30th (time TBD)
Where: HMC
• Each student presented with mini case study
• 15 minute prep, 5 minutes delivery, 5 minutes Q&A
• Present to a panel of faculty judges
• OCMC 2015 team is selected based on “The Cage Match”

Mastermind Match
• After Cage Match the student moves to the
Mastermind Match
• Student is asked (5) Marketing 1 level questions
• Goal is to measure student’s recall levels
• Selection committee evaluates students and
determines the Quiz Bowl Team

Who Qualifies?
• Full-time diploma marketing or advertising
student
• Be in at least semester 3 of your program in
September 2015
• Have a B or greater GPA in marketing/advertising
related courses
• Able to attend Cage Match April 30th and
OCMC Event November 26th to Nov 28th
• Train 3 hours per week in Fall 2015 semester
