Shari Daniel has over 10 years of experience in education, human services, and clinical mental health. She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health and a Bachelor's degree in Black Studies and Sociology. Currently, she works as a Literacy Instructor providing reading instruction to adult learners. Previously, she held roles as a School Coordinator, Tutor, Office Assistant, and Operations Intern. She has additional experience and certifications in clinical settings providing play therapy, treatment planning, and group facilitation.

School Coordinator (Everybody Wins! DC) `2012-2014
Facilitated peer -reading pairs with students from grade one through five by matching students based on academic needs.
Effectively monitored reading pairs’ reading levels throughout the school year and provided accolades for improvements. Distributed
donated books to each student once a month with a variety of themes and languages. Prepared additional recreational activities for pairs
as their reading levels improved and they completed three to five books per day as a pair.
Tutor (Achieve Tutoring) 2012-2014
Collectively the academic focus was on foundations, class projects and study preparation with ninth and tenth grade students. By the
end of the academic year, students were able to identify their weaknesses, effectively support the changes in their work ethic and showed
improvements in self-esteem and self-awareness based on one-on-one tutoring.
