2. WHY DOES IT RESONATE FOR YOU?
• This topic resonate for me because I see many homeless people
walking around by my house every single day. Sometimes, I also
see many of them in front of UWT campus. I noticed that there are a
lot of homeless people in the area of Tacoma and Seattle downtown.
• When I see homeless people, I feel bad for them. I often made an
assumption that they are probably in a situation where their family
and friends have turned their backs on them.

3. HOW CAN YOUR INTEREST BE APPLIED LOCALLY?
• I can apply my interests locally by get involved as a volunteer, make
a donation, and try my very best to help those in need.

4. WHERE CAN YOU PERSONALLY MAKE THE GREATEST
CONTRIBUTION?
• One of the places that I can personally make the greatest contribution in
my local community is to get involved as a volunteer at Tacoma Rescue
Mission.
• I’ve volunteered at Tacoma Rescue Mission for a few times because I
wanted to give back to the community that gave me the opportunity to
pursue my dreams. It was an honor to be a part of this wonderful
organization.

5. IS THERE A FEATURE OF SOCIAL MEDIA THAT CAN BE
UNIQUELY APPLIED TO THIS GOAL?
• Facebook would be a great feature of social media that can be uniquely applied
to this goal. Facebook has created a Charitable Giving Tools where people can
use it to collect donations. Fundraisers give people the opportunity to give back
to the community by making donations to the less fortunate through Facebook;
therefore, Facebook is one of the greatest platform to get this goal achieved.
