2010 - Jul 2011 THE ALLOY, Farnham, UK
Senior Designer – Lead designer and project manager for several
concurrent IPTV development projects for British Telecom (BT). Responsible
for the conception, design and specification of new propositions, along with
project management, and co-ordination of dual-supplier production
strategies.
2007 – 2010 STUDIO CONRAN, London, UK
Senior Designer – Instrumental in driving the creative direction of major
design projects spanning various industry sectors. Categories include
wireless mobile, consumer electronics, domestic appliances, transportation,
environments and homewares. Notable achievements include:
- Red Dot design award for the design of luxury interior for the Sealine T60
Aura 60 foot motor yacht.
- Lead designer of Conran Audio iPod dock for Armour Home
- Design lead on mobile phone development program for NTT Docomo,
Japan’s leading mobile telecoms provider, in conjunction with LGE.
- Lead designer on various other development projects, including ultra-
compact ‘WebBook’ PCs for Carphone Warehouse.

- Care Essentials Cocoon Patient Warmer (2004) – Design of a patient warming
device that prevents hypothermia before, during and after surgery.
- JD MacDonald Autobeam/Touchdry Hand dryers (2005) – Design of Australia’s
most popular and robust washroom hand dryers. Sales increased by almost 200%
over its predecessor.
Responsibilities included:
- Project management and client liaison – leading teams of designers and
engineers from concept through to manufacture.
- Proposal writing and budget estimation.
- Preparing design specification for engineering
- Team leader; mentor for junior staff, responsible for specialised training.
