This document provides a brief history of eight London theaters from 1576 to 2016 where Shakespeare's plays were performed, including the Theatre in Shoreditch, the Curtain Theatre, the Globe Theatre, the Rose Theatre, the reconstructed Shakespeare's Globe, Blackfriars Theatre, the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, and Middle Temple Hall. It includes the names and locations of the theaters and years they were built and used.
