Shah Waliullah was an 18th century Islamic scholar, philosopher and reformer born in India. He received a traditional Islamic education studying hadith, fiqh, tafsir and kalam. He went to Arabia for further study and while there had a vision that motivated him to reform Muslim society. When he returned to India, he established a madrasa and taught for 12 years, focusing on Quran, hadith, metaphysics and translating the Quran to Persian to spread Islamic teachings more widely. He is seen as a pioneer who advocated Islamic revival and strengthening Muslims politically and socially through education.

2.  Qutb-ud-din Ahmad, popularly known as
shah Wali Allah.
 Was born in 1114/1703.
 Shah wahi Ullah a great saint, thinker,
Muhadis, theologian, translator, scholar and
reformer.

3.  Shah Wali Ullah received his early education
in spiritualism and mysticism from his father.
 He received education in Tafsir, Hadis and
acquired spiritual discipline.
 He also studied metaphysics, logic and Ilm-ul-
kalam.
 His father transferred the Bulla and Irshad to
him at his death bed and said “his hand is my
hand”.

4.  In the year 1731 he went to Arabia for higher
studies and performing Haj.
 Studying hadith and Fiqha under such
distinguished scholars as Abu tahiral al-
Kurdi al- Madaini. Wafq Allah al-Makkin
and Taj al-Din al- Qall.
 During his stay at makkah Shah Wali Ullah
saw a vision.
