Agility is about ability to adapt. Enterprises need to quickly respond to changing circumstances and requirements. Agility is a state of mind (“embrace change”) that must be supported by process and technology. This session will demonstrate how Fusion Middleware provides a substantial dose of instant agility through its design time @ run time facilities. Application Management evolves into Application Composition as BPM and SOA Suite applications allow run time editing of business logic, human tasks and process definitions. Likewise, ADF applications, especially when integrated with UCM and WebCenter, support run time editing of content, page composition and even security, data sources and visualizations - even customized per user group.

This presentation takes a deep dive into the latest features of IBM WebSphere MQ and Message Broker to see how these new capabilities are changing the world. It examines how MQ and Message Broker can connect anything, anywhere and achieve universal connectivity with:
- Enhanced file and messaging capabilities of IBM WebSphere Message Broker 8.0 and WebSphere MQ 7.5, including the ability to handle many formats (i.e. XML, CSV, etc.)
- The ability of WebSphere MQ Telemetry Transport (MQTT) to connect through the web or through devices
- An extended reach of WebSphere MQ via the new HTTP and FTP bridges
- High Availability that makes the system more reliable than ever and allows WebSphere MQ clients to automatically reconnect
Manage Agility through Manage-ability – Introducing Design Time at Run Time ...Lucas Jellema
Agility is the objective. A goal hard to achieve given the fairly long and complex procedures to get changes introduced into running software. This presentation discusses mechanisms in Oracle Fusion Middleware that allow a substantial part of the lookk and feel as well as the behavior of software components to be defined through meta data that can be edited at run time in a WYSIWYG fashion. This mechanism is called Design Time at Run Time and caters for advanced levels of agility - provided organizations organize the appropriate processes around the software.

Mobility platforms allow for the integration of mobility services from different providers, so Mobility can be easily used 'as a Service' (MaaS). The integration of information, booking,
and payments becomes even more powerful when provided as proximity-based services,
in particular using BLE beacons. The presentation focuses on implementation experience.
Our crackerjack staff reviewed a bunch of mobile marketing campaigns over the past few years and we picked 50 of what we thought were the best. We chose innovative campaigns that used mobile advertising, SMS, QR Codes, Mobile Apps and Mobile Commerce from companies including Starbucks, Macy’s, Target, O2, RedBox, McDonald’s and a couple of our own. We salute these companies for their ingenuity and hard work in creating these campaign that delight and inform us as mobile consumers. Stay tuned for next year’s picks.

How to boost inbound marketing success with content marketing, SEO and social...Scoop.it
Google currently indexes close to 50 billion pages in its algorithm and every minute that goes by, nearly 70,000 blog posts are created and added to the internet. Content marketing has become an effective inbound marketing strategy for companies around the globe. Yet many businesses still don’t seem to have a strategic content marketing approach in place and sadly their content never reaches its target audience. Here is how to leverage content marketing, SEO and social media into your inbound marketing mix te become a more effective marketer.
Let’s be honest: for most content strategists and other people working with online content, SEO is The Worst Part Of The Job.
It’s hugely technical, it’s shrouded in mystery, it seems to be focused on robots instead of people, there are unspoken rules, everything can turn on a dime, and it never, ever seems to end.
But SEO doesn't have to be this way. It’s time to begin a conversation between these two disciplines – they’re far more alike than you might think. And when they work together on behalf of users and customers, amazing things can happen that will drive your organisation forward.
I can’t promise to change your mind about SEO, but you’ll leave this session understanding how to build the essentials into your work in ways that are simple, make sense, and are pain-free. You’ll see what business impacts and wins for the customer SEO and Content Strategy have had at REI, a major retailer in the US. And you’ll have the vocabulary, understanding and tools that you need to talk with your SEO... or to take it for yourself.
Drive traffic, amaze your visitors, and Win the Internet -- with SEO and Content Strategy working together.

Featuring insights from The Wizard of Moz himself, Rand Fishkin reminded us during his popular SEO presentation at Content Marketing World 2015, search engines are constantly evolving their algorithms to enhance their ability to serve consumers’ needs. And while current systems are highly pro cient at classifying the terms of a search query, calculating its likely intent, and ranking potential results in terms of their relevance, the search engine of tomorrow will likely use more advanced methods of mapping (and manipulating) the mechanics of meaning.
What does all this mean for marketers? And, more importantly, what should you be doing now to prepare your content for the rise of sentient SEO? Read on!
Welcome to our yearly report on the content marketing practices of business-to-business (B2B) technology content marketers in North America. Here you’ll see how technology marketers replied to our sixth annual content marketing survey, and how the results compare with the 2015 ndings.

Kubernetes & AI - Beauty and the Beast !?! @KCD Istanbul 2024Tobias Schneck
As AI technology is pushing into IT I was wondering myself, as an “infrastructure container kubernetes guy”, how get this fancy AI technology get managed from an infrastructure operational view? Is it possible to apply our lovely cloud native principals as well? What benefit’s both technologies could bring to each other?
Let me take this questions and provide you a short journey through existing deployment models and use cases for AI software. On practical examples, we discuss what cloud/on-premise strategy we may need for applying it to our own infrastructure to get it to work from an enterprise perspective. I want to give an overview about infrastructure requirements and technologies, what could be beneficial or limiting your AI use cases in an enterprise environment. An interactive Demo will give you some insides, what approaches I got already working for real.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
