Goals
A goal is an idea of the future or desired result that a person or a group of
people envision, plan and commit to achieve.
Types of Goals
Short Term Goals:
A short-term goal is something you want to do in the near future.
The near future can mean today, this week, this month, or even this year.
Long Term Goals:
A long-term goal is something you want to accomplish in the future.
Long-term goals require time and planning.

Long Term Goals:
To set a Long Term Goal, students must be mentally prepared for their
future career goal.
1- Counseling center:
• Interest inventory:
Interest inventories look at a person's likes and dislikes, their favorite
activities, and their personality.
• Vocational preferences:
Vocational preferences identifies what career match your interests and
abilities.

2- Department advisers:
Make an appointment with HOD and ask them questions about our course
of study like what major courses are and what minor courses are.
3- Placement office:
An office in a university that offers students careers advice and help to find
employment
4- Occupational Outlook Handbook:
Source of information about many jobs currently available and the best job
prospects in future

To achieve long term goals, you need to devide them in short steps for, a
long journey begins with a single step.
1- Short Steps:
Divide into small parts.
2- Set Objections:
Set aims and struggle to achieve it.
3- Honesty:
Be honest with youself and your subject.

Make a daily schedule and give more time to weak subjects.
5- Arrange:
Arrange subjects according to the schedule.
6- Define targets:
Try to search for targets after making a schedule
7- Haphazard system:
Do not mix things up and set them properly.
