2. To represent her youth, I decided to braid her
hair.This created a contrast between the
hairstyles. I liked how it had an innocent look
as you would associate braids with children.
I decided to curl her hair for the second set of
shots.This had a much more mature and
sophisticated look which represented the
ageing well.

4. I decided to choose different colours to
represent the change in time and also
the level of maturity.The white is used to
represent ‘innocence’ and ‘youth’ which I
decided to pair with a dark pink colour to
add the feminine element. Perkins
stereotypes theory would link here as
most people would stereotype these
colours to be feminine and youthful.
To show that she had aged, I decided to
use black in order to contrast against the
white.This also adds a darker element. I
then decided to still add pink to keep the
continuity, however, I used a more
muted pink.This still has the feminine
feel but with a much more mature
element.

5. I decided to use more ‘bulky’ clothing
to show her age.The knitted jumper
along with the big duffle coat
connotes comfort and warmth which
coincides with her feelings at that
time.
I then decided to put her in much
more fitted clothing.The movement
of the skirt and the scarf represent the
lyrics well.They also have a much
more sophisticated and mature look

7. I decided to dress my male actor in dark clothing
to represent him being part of the past. The blue
jacket contrasts well with the female actresses
pinkish coats and represents the genders well. I
wanted the clothes to be fairly casual but with a
smart edge to them.

different locations as I feel
that it makes it much more
realistic. It also makes it much
more interesting and visually
exciting. I wanted to be by
some water as the sun was
setting. I decided to go to the
Humber bridge however I
didn’t want to get the bridge in
the background. I wanted it to
have a rustic and nature like
feel so I filmed some bits near
a woody area. I included the
train on my storyboard as I
anted it to represent her
moving on. I decided to go to
Bridlington station as it has a
much more intricate design
and I could also get some
shots whilst we were on the
train as well.
