This document discusses disaster risk reduction projects in Timor Leste led by the National Disaster Management Team and Cruz Vermelha Timor Leste. It describes how they selected 3 districts - Aileu, Manatutu, and Oe-Cusse - to pilot youth empowerment and disaster education programs. The programs involve training youth volunteers and community members, educating school children on disaster risks, and promoting health and the environment. Activities included simulations, cleanups, games, and technical agriculture training. The objective is to empower youth to disseminate disaster information and contribute to community resilience. The progress of the youth pilot program in Aileu district is outlined.
