Pharma Digital Marketing - 5 future trendsmarcmunch2014
Digital Marketing within the Pharma Industry:
The first and safer way is to summarize the past 12 months, the second, more dangerous but also more exciting is to predict what will happen in 2015.
For years digital marketing was treated as a fifth wheel in pharma business. Whatever we say, the truth is that those organisations are made of sales force. And a digital sales force was just another marketing gimmick that does not add value but a workload and cost.
However, during past few years this traditional sales force thinking was challenged. Payers pressure forced companies to reduce ranks of sales representatives. Regulatory decisions have limited possibility of sales rep to meet HCPs. The result is that sales rep cannot meet his Client often enough to detail the product and maintain relationship in the same time.
Digital came to help with e-detailing and web-based self-detail solutions. CRM software supports reps with data that allow reps to have a meaningful conversation with HCPs they barely know.
Combining detailing visits with digital tatics and good old direct marketing is our new buzz word: Multi Channel Marketing or Multi Channel Sales

Most think a data set as just that. A grouping of transactions measured by items and a frequency count of those items. One dimensionally it often is just that. However, when you approach data from a network perspective, these things fall away and information previously hidden emerges. Data can be viewed like the dark energy and dark mass that comprises the majority of the universe. It is the connection patterns of the unseen that is valuable when it is brought to light.
Here, we look at a week's worth of transactional data from a off-premise retail brand. Moving past first-order measurement, network patterns emerge. Measuring these patterns provide clear guidance on market basket growth opportunities, sales volume improvements, emerging trends to be capitalized on and highly sticky promotion opportunities that were before unknown to the retailer. And, this is just the start of what is possible. When you know more, you sell more. That isn't just a catchy line, it is a promise.

Healthcare Maneuverability: Equipping the mobile clinician of futureVARUN KESAVAN
Healthcare IT has emerged as a driving force in bringing about better patient care, and mobility is a key component. Mobility in the healthcare world is unique: clinicians roam from one shared workstation to another, use their tablets on rounds, check data on personal smartphones, and work on home computers. They may need to access clinical systems and vital patient data on any system at any time. The benefits of mobility, however, bring substantial requirements for IT, especially as healthcare entities are becoming more open to adopting cloud computing.
7 Best Points of The Future of Digital Technology in Healthcare | The Entrepr...TheEntrepreneurRevie
Here are 7 Best Points of The Future of Digital Technology in Healthcare; 1. Smartphones and wearable technology, 2. Virtual Machines (VMs), 3. Telecommunications medicine,
Deloitte research found that while many medtech companies are well-positioned to drive the future of health, they likely won’t be able to do it alone. Rather than focusing on making incremental
improvements to their devices, they should focus on using transformative and cognitive technologies
to enhance products and offer services. They could do this by developing or partnering to acquire
sophisticated data analytics capabilities, getting much closer to the consumer, and leveraging new
cognitive technologies to improve operations.
Étude PwC sur les objets connectés "The Wearable Future" (oct. 2014)PwC France
http://bit.ly/TheWearableFutureCP
The wearable trend is here and its impact will be broad and significant. From fitness, to wellness and beyond, wearable technology will be a major part of the internet of things movement.

Machine Learning, Biosensing, Virtual Reality Technology Converging to Transform Healthcare
Walter Greenleaf
Stanford Virtual Human Interaction Lab
This presentation provides an overview of how the coming wave of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality technology will impact medicine, clinical care, and personal health and wellness.
Although entertainment, social connection, and gaming are driving the initial adoption of VR and AR technology, the deepest and most significant impact of the next generation of VR/AR technology will be to enhance clinical care and to improve personal health and wellness. VR and AR technology will also help facilitate the shift of medicine from clinic-based care to telemedicine-based care, and to facilitate personalized medicine.
We know from decades of clinical research that VR/AR technology can provide breakthrough solutions that address the most difficult problems in healthcare - ranging from mood disorders such as Anxiety and Depression to PTSD, Addictions, Autism, Cognitive Aging, Stroke Recovery, and Physical Rehabilitation, to name just a few.
VR technology can also improve clinical measurements and assessments by making them more objective and functional and improve medical training such as surgical skill training and procedure planning by applying simulation-based learning principals. Personal health and wellness will be improved by using VR to promote healthy lifestyles and to reduce stress and anxiety. As the cost of healthcare rises, VR technology can serve as an effective telemedicine platform to reduce costs of care delivery and improve clinical efficiency.
In this presentation, I tried to succinctly discuss the future technology trends and explain how they can impact the healthcare industry. Also Business Transformation, as a key to tackle, has been discussed.

Ethanol (CH3CH2OH), or beverage alcohol, is a two-carbon alcohol
that is rapidly distributed in the body and brain. Ethanol alters many
neurochemical systems and has rewarding and addictive properties. It
is the oldest recreational drug and likely contributes to more morbidity,
mortality, and public health costs than all illicit drugs combined. The
5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
(DSM-5) integrates alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence into a single
disorder called alcohol use disorder (AUD), with mild, moderate,
and severe subclassifications (American Psychiatric Association, 2013).
In the DSM-5, all types of substance abuse and dependence have been
combined into a single substance use disorder (SUD) on a continuum
from mild to severe. A diagnosis of AUD requires that at least two of
the 11 DSM-5 behaviors be present within a 12-month period (mild
AUD: 2–3 criteria; moderate AUD: 4–5 criteria; severe AUD: 6–11 criteria).
The four main behavioral effects of AUD are impaired control over
drinking, negative social consequences, risky use, and altered physiological
effects (tolerance, withdrawal). This chapter presents an overview
of the prevalence and harmful consequences of AUD in the U.S.,
the systemic nature of the disease, neurocircuitry and stages of AUD,
comorbidities, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, genetic risk factors, and
pharmacotherapies for AUD.

Flu Vaccine Alert in Bangalore Karnatakaaddon Scans
As flu season approaches, health officials in Bangalore, Karnataka, are urging residents to get their flu vaccinations. The seasonal flu, while common, can lead to severe health complications, particularly for vulnerable populations such as young children, the elderly, and those with underlying health conditions.
Dr. Vidisha Kumari, a leading epidemiologist in Bangalore, emphasizes the importance of getting vaccinated. "The flu vaccine is our best defense against the influenza virus. It not only protects individuals but also helps prevent the spread of the virus in our communities," he says.
This year, the flu season is expected to coincide with a potential increase in other respiratory illnesses. The Karnataka Health Department has launched an awareness campaign highlighting the significance of flu vaccinations. They have set up multiple vaccination centers across Bangalore, making it convenient for residents to receive their shots.
To encourage widespread vaccination, the government is also collaborating with local schools, workplaces, and community centers to facilitate vaccination drives. Special attention is being given to ensuring that the vaccine is accessible to all, including marginalized communities who may have limited access to healthcare.
Residents are reminded that the flu vaccine is safe and effective. Common side effects are mild and may include soreness at the injection site, mild fever, or muscle aches. These side effects are generally short-lived and far less severe than the flu itself.
Healthcare providers are also stressing the importance of continuing COVID-19 precautions. Wearing masks, practicing good hand hygiene, and maintaining social distancing are still crucial, especially in crowded places.
Protect yourself and your loved ones by getting vaccinated. Together, we can help keep Bangalore healthy and safe this flu season. For more information on vaccination centers and schedules, residents can visit the Karnataka Health Department’s official website or follow their social media pages.
Stay informed, stay safe, and get your flu shot today!

We might not see how this will be solved, but we can understand the problem and create outline for the means and approaches that will be used to solve the problem.
I was moderating a Panel on IDC conference on Internet of Things last week, and one of the thesis was that we didn’t know 10 years ago how IoT will happened, and how that any device will become connected, but we ware aware that this will happened in the future. Now we know how. But back then we didn’t know.
Some 6 years ago, I was speaking on general meeting of insurance companies, and forecasts was then by 2025 cars will become autonomous. Everybody laught at me, but today, not only we know how this will happened, we have it, and even have a first person that died while being driven with autonomous car.
What we have learned from the history? What will change by introducing serialization and traceability throughout supply chain?
What mistakes we can avoid?
