This document provides general rules and guidelines for performing a sensory examination, including: - Examining each sensory system from distal to proximal parts of the body and comparing both sides - It defines different sensory systems like touch, pain, temperature and provides tests to assess each one like pin prick for pain and cotton wool for crude touch - Other tests described are for tactile localization, discrimination, pressure sense, vibration sense and stereognosis - Tests for visual fields include confrontation and perimetry tests - Hearing tests covered are watch test, Rinne test, Weber test and audiometry
