External Staff Request<br />Job Description<br />Senior Project Manager Infrastructure – Web Application Hosting <br />Context:<br /> W e a r e a c t i v e l y s e a r c h i n g a p r o j e c t m a n a g e r t o s u p p o rt the METAMORF Infrastructure projects in the scope of Retail, Private and Corporate and Public Banking in Belgium.<br />Objective: - Support the setup of the next generation of web application hosting environment.<br />- Cooperate with architects and infrastructure designers to support the detailed design of the target platform specifications, with a specific focus on the non-functional requirements<br />- Coordinate technical activities required for the setup of the infrastructure in the appropriate environments (lab, dev, test, qa, prod)<br />- Help coordinate the technical acceptance of the new infrastructure (nonfunctional requirements)<br />Location: Brussels - Some meetings in Paris/France not to be excluded (will remain<br />minimal though)<br />Start: March 15-31, 2010<br />Duration: 1 year<br />Language: Eng (+ NL/FR)<br />Project Manager level 2<br />Principal assignments Experience<br />• Taking responsibility for the project in terms of Project Management with regard to the Project Ownership and its hierarchy, monitoring and satisfactory completion for a medium-scale project or subsystem of a largescale project (> 8 people)<br />• Representing the interests of all stakeholder Divisions<br />• Bringing the project or projects to satisfactory completion while observing rules defined for conducting projects<br />• Complying with and making others comply with quality, cost and lead time terms and<br />conditions set out in the deliverables contract<br />Principal responsibilities:<br />• Identifying the various Project Management stakeholders, conducting and planning their work<br />• Organising and running project teams within the framework of rules laid down<br />• Ensuring allocated budgets are adhered to<br />• Detailing and formalising requirements<br />• Writing or having others write instructions and -validate them<br />• Supervising and -validating acceptance based on acceptance conditions which he/she will have defined<br />• At least 8 years of experience<br />• At least 4 years of experience conducting projects in a functional and technical environment similar to that of the project<br />• Is able to seek out information relevant to the project(s) from available documentation (inhouse and outside) and from qualified staff<br />• Is able to manage a project, keeping within deadlines and costs while achieving the quality<br />objectives laid down<br />• Is familiar with the budgetary rules regarding projects<br />• Is able to use office automation tools to present a project and ensure it is dealt with<br />• Is able to identify the users and decisionmakers involved in a project<br />• Is able to prepare and conduct working meetings with a view to effectiveness<br />Behavioural skills:<br />• Is goal-oriented: ability to promote a project and carry others along with him/her<br />• Is organised, methodical and rigorous<br />• Is able to work in a team (motivating and listening abilities)<br />• Is able to make decisions<br />SKILLS<br />Business experience required<br />Mandatory: N/A<br />Preferable: N/A<br />Technical experience required<br />Mandatory: - General knowledge of infrastructure<br />(Hardware, Operating Systems, Networking, Databases, Middleware, Distributed Systems, Security,…)<br />- Project management in the infrastructure area:<br />o Professional experience in project management<br />o In a context between Application and Infrastructure departments.<br />- Budget cotation & planning estimation<br />Preferable: Experience in setting-up and/or maintaining web application hosting infrastructure & security is a serious asset<br />
