2. ABSTRACT:
Injection molded components are consistently designed to minimize
design and manufacturing information content of enterprise system the
resulting design ,however are extremely complex and frequently exhibit
coupling between multiple quality attributes. Axiomatic design
principles were applied to the injection molding process to add control
parameters that enable spiritual and dynamic de coupling of multiple
qualities attributes in the molded part there are three major benefits of
process re design efforts. First, closed loop pressure control enable tight
coupling between the mass and momentum equation
4. INTRODUCTION:
• Injection moulding is most commonly used manufacturing process
for the fabrication of plastic parts a wide variety of production are
manufactured using injection moldings, which vary greatly in their
size complexity and application. The injection molding process
requires the use of an injection molding process requires the use of
an injection molding machine, raw plastic material and a mould. The
plastic is melted in the injection moulding machine and then injected
into the mould, where it cools and solidifies into final step in this
process are described a great detail in the text section.
5. • Injection moulding machines consist of a material
hopper, an injection ram or screw-type plunger, and
a heating unit. They are also known as presses, they
hold the moulds in which the components are
shaped. Presses are rated by tonnage, which
expresses the amount of clamping force that the
machine can exert. This force keeps the mould closed
during the injection process. Tonnage can vary from
less than 5 tons to 6000 tons, with the higher figures
usedin comparatively few manufacturing operations.
9. DIS ADVANTAGES
• HIGH TOOL COST
• LARGE PART LIMITATIONS
• CAREFUL DESIGN NEEDED
• INITIAL LEAD TIME
10. CONCLUSION:
• INJECTION MOULDING IS ONE OF THE MOST
IMPORTANT PROCESSES FOR PLASTIC AND
IT HAS A VERY WIDE LIST OF KINDS OF
PRODUCTS IT CAN PRODUCE,WHICH MAKES
ITS VERY VERSATILE
