ASHTON SIXTH FORM
TO: SELECTION PANEL
FROM: LEWIS
SUBJECT: INTERVIEWS FOR APPRENTICESHIP
DATE: OCTOBER 12, 2012
As you may be aware, the interviewing process of applicants to be shortlisted is drawing near. For the
interviewing process I have created an essential criteria list that will aid in finding the adequately
qualified applicants.
In order for a candidate to be shortlisted they must meet the following essential criteria from the
personal specification:
- No set entry requirements, however individuals are accessed on their potential to
achieve the apprenticeship.
- Must not currently be in education or have qualifications of a degree or higher standard.
- Have the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Have good planning and organization qualities.
- Ability to work flexible hours and meet set deadlines.
- Have access to a vehicle or use of public transport.
- Have evidence such as work or life history that shows the applicant is safe to work with
children and vulnerable adults.
Due to the possibility of the number of adequate applicants being too great to review, I have also
created a list of criteria that is not essential but is desirable, this will aid in the process of short listing
applicants into a list of the most suitable and preferred.
The Desirable Criteria is as follows:
- Interested in the field of Business and Administration.
- Has effective use of computers and ICT.
Please ensure that a copy of the short listing is sent by 1st December as the interviewing process will
commence on the week following.
