The class is starting a new science unit on the characteristics of living things which includes discussing parts of plants, what they need to survive, and how they grow. As part of the unit, the students will plant and care for seeds next week. The teacher is asking each student to bring seed packets or fruits/vegetables with seeds inside by April 14th to have extra seeds for classifying and sorting activities.
