The Security Advisor Alliance aims to establish a collaborative community for information security professionals through thought leadership, networking, and supporting three core missions: empowering the industry, developing the next generation of security professionals, and helping the local community. The Alliance will be governed by an Executive Team and Advisory Governance Board who will provide strategic direction and oversight.

The vision of the Security Advisor Alliance is to sponsor
and enable community wide thought leadership and
global member collaboration. Establish a platform of
trust and partnership within the Information Security
community to promote and catalyze innovation,
support industry best practices, create collaborative
networking relevant to its advisors, members and the
Information Security community while supporting three

3. EMPOWER THE INDUSTRY
• Security Start-Ups – A source for new and upcoming
security companies to receive feedback, advice and
direction from Information Security Leaders
• Influencing: A united front to apply leverage to the
government and firms on the issues, surrounding
societies responsibility towards proper information
security practices and legislation
4. DEVELOP THE NEXT GENERATION
• Mentoring : Offers aspiring, novice security
professionals opportunities to enhance their skills
through mentorship as a means of fulfilling the goal of
increasing the quality and quantity of Information
Security Leaders
• College : Develop a college workshop program to grow
awareness and interest in the information security
profession and industry practices and opportunities
5. HELP THE COMMUNITY
• Help Kids : Provide local schools with Cyber Security
training and tips to protect themselves online.
Additionally preview the information security field to
spark interest prior to entering into further education
• Small/Medium Businesses : Give back to the
community by volunteering time and expertise to small
business ‘ that would otherwise be unable to support
an information security resource
6. Alliance Governance
The Executive Team is responsible for the day-to-day operations Alliance.
Accountable for driving the vision, missions and future endeavors of the Alliance as
put forth by its founding members and the guidance of the Governance Board.
Advisory Governance Board is responsible for shaping and leading the defined
missions of the Alliance. The Board will grow and evolve with the Alliance
missions and the direction of the Executive Committee.
Alliance Fellows will be selected Information Security Leader dedicated to the support
of the Alliance and its missions. These leaders will be vetted and appointed by the
Governance Board and approved by the Executive Committee.
Alliance Members are Information Security Leaders will both benefit from
and contribute to the Mission’s of the Alliance – Give Help and Get Help by
CISO’s for CISO’s.
