Human Development Index HDI is an index used by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to measure the level of development in a country.

Classification  0.800-1.000 0.500-0.799 0.499 and below HDI High Medium Low
Limitation of the HDI It is accurate for DCs as compare to LDCs In DCs, data can be collected easily as compare to the rural countryside of LDCs. Some LDCs economy relies on informal trading, only estimates can be used to calculate the income of the people there.
