3. Infiltration of unwanted air plays a leading role in the amount of heat loss/gain of
a building.
It is almost impossible to completely seal a house, but energy conservation is
becoming an increasing important factor in new construction and repair/remodel
projects.
Sealants perform much better when applied during construction, rather than as
an afterthought. Every possible joint between two materials which penetrates
the exterior wall, ceiling or floor should have a sealant applied.

4. Before undertaking a project involving sealant, there are many things that need to be
considered:
1. The specific environment it will be used for
