SDSC researchers are exploring applications of new computing technologies with industry partners. Recent examples include optimizing molecular dynamics simulations on Intel Xeon and Xeon Phi processors, investigating future computing architectures for real-time sensor data visualization, and analyzing the impact of emerging processor and memory architectures on large-scale HPC codes. SDSC scientists are also scaling earthquake simulations on GPUs to produce some of the most detailed ground movement simulations. SDSC is interested in sharing their expertise with emerging technologies with new and existing industry partners.
