Spencer is rushed to the hospital and his friend Catherine calls out to him. At school, Spencer and his friends are messing around with a camera when they get in trouble. Spencer's mom is sick and checks into the hospital. His friends Sam and Ryan also fall ill and are hospitalized. Spencer is told his mom has passed away. In distress, he smashes the camera he had been using.

2. INT. HOSPITAL – AFTERNOON
First person perspective
Spencer (Main character) being rushed through a hospital on a gurney
surrounded by a nurse, Doctor and Catherine
CATHERINE
Spencer wake up (shouting)
*Heartbeat monitor beep*
CATHERINE
Spencer (shouting)
*Heartbeat monitor beep*
NURSE
Please wait here mam
*Heartbeat monitor beep*

INT. SPENCERS BEDROOM – MORNING
Hand Camera
Spencer (Main character) is wearing his school clothes and is getting ready to
leave for school; this scene will be recorded by Spencer himself and will consist
of him messing with the camera.
Spencer starts recording with the camera facing towards a mirror, he then flips
the screen around and puts the camera onto a table.
SPENCERS MOM
Spencer if you don’t get downstairs now ill make you walk it. (Shouting)
SPENCER
Just wait one minute (Aggressively)
Spencer then uses the camera as a sort of mirror to do his tie, in the background
his mom starts walking up the stairs
SPENCERS MOM
*Cough* Hurry up…
Spencer’s mom walks into Spencer’s bedroom
SPENCERS MOM
…I’ve got work in a bit
Spencer rushes to grab the camera and turns it off

3. INT. SCHOOL LIBRARY – MORNING
Hand Camera
Spencer and 3 of his friends (Jacob, Sam and Ryan) are sitting around a table,
inside of the library, in this scene the friends will be messing with the camera.
Spencer starts recording and faces the camera towards Sam.
SAM
Are you recording? (Whispering)
Ryan
Spence pass the camera here (Whispering)
The camera then pans to a teacher sitting at the front of the library; She then
notices that they’re recording.
LIBRARY TEACHER
What are you doing with that camera in school (Shouting)
The camera then pans down and the recording stop.
EXT. STREET ON THE WAY HOME – AFTERNOON
Normal Camera Scene
Spencer, Sam, Jacob and Ryan are on the way home
SAM
So how was English Spence, I heard you’ve been having an amazing time with Mr
Williams (Sarcasm)
SPENCER
Yeah…it’s great…(sarcasm) felt like falling asleep midway like usual
RYAN
I think if you actually tried maybe he wouldn’t be out to get you, but you sit there
and do fuck all anyway
As they continue walking down the street someone bumps into Sam and coughs
on him.
SAM
Watch where you’re going
Sam pushes the stranger aside and then they continue walking.
SAM
Why can’t people just look where they’re going. (Annoyed)

4. JACOB
Well he seemed a bit off; he could be sick or something
SAM
Well at least if I get sick now I can just have a few days off
SPENCER
Guys I’m gonna go on ahead then, I’ll see you later
Spencer splits off from the group and heads home
INT. SPENCERS BEDROOM – AFTERNOON
Hand Camera
Spencer is in his bedroom after getting back from school, without realising he hit
record on the camera and puts it on his desk.
Spencer then dives onto his bed.
*PHONE BUZZES*
Spencer checks his phone and sits up, He then looks up around his room and
realises the camera is recording. He then gets up and stops the camera recording.
INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY – MORNING
The scene will start off with Spencer and Ryan walking in the hallway towards
class. In this scene the characters will be wearing school uniform and random
students will be walking past them.
RYAN
Have you heard from Sam or Jacob cause I didn’t see them on the way to school
SPENCER
Oh, Sam messaged me yesterday saying he probably won’t be coming into school.
He’s apparently caught something.
They continue to walk down the hallway and notice Jacob waiting outside the
classroom with a white surgical mask
SPENCER
What’s with the mask? You dying or something
JACOB
Oh….yeah my mum got me to wear it cause of some flu going around, to be fair I
think she’s just being paranoid.
RYAN
I heard about that, apparently some people have got it bad. Hope Sam’s all right.

5. EXT. STREET ON THE WAY HOME – AFTERNOON

Spencer, Jacob, Ryan are on the way home.
JACOB
Anyone heard from Sam then?
RYAN
Nah, I’ve gotta go drop him of some coursework if you wanna come?
JACOB
I’m all right; my mom wants me to come straight home anyway.
RYAN
Well I’m gonna head over to Sam’s talk to you guys tomorrow.
SPENCER
I’m gonna head home aswell, See you guys.
FADE OUT
INT. BOTTOM OF STAIRS – SPENCERS HOUSE – AFTERNOON
Normal camera scene
Spencer enters his home.
*TELEPHONE RINGS*
SPENCER
Mom I’m home… Are you going to answer the phone?
The phone goes to answer machine.
CATHERINE
Hey spencer it’s Catherine a friend of your moms, Anyway I’m calling to tell you
that your moms just checked into the hospital and won’t be back till tomorrow
morning, She’s just not been feeling well lately, if you need me call on this
number. Okay Bye….
*Phone Disconnects*

INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY – SCHOOL – MORNING
Spencer is walking with Jacob in the hallway towards class who has an upset
look on his face
SPENCER

6. Are you okay Jacob?
JACOB
Did you not hear? (Worried)
Spencer
Hear what exactly?
JACOB
Sams in critical condition, And Ryan was just admitted into hospital this morning
SPENCER
Why what happened!! (Worried)
A Teacher stops Spencer and Jacob in the Hallway
TEACHER
Spencer, can I talk to you in my office
Spencer follows the teacher to their office
INT. TEACHERS OFFICE – MORNING
Spencer sits down in the Teachers office
TEACHER
I think it’s better for you to take some time off school
SPENCER
Why wouldn’t I come into school? I’m completely fine
TEACHER
Spencer, I don’t think holding back at a time like this is good for you...
SPENCER
Holding back what?
TEACHER
I’ll arrange for someone to take you home if you feel more comfortable
SPENCER
No it’s fine I’ll just get my Mum to pick me up
TEACHER
Spencer… I really don’t know how to tell you this, but your mum passed away in
the hospital last night.
The scene breaks into silence with white noise.
TEACHER

Spencer gets up in anger and storms out of the office

Hand Camera
Spencer is sitting in his bedroom facing the camera, and talks to the camera as a
video diary.
He shows frustration
SPENCER
Why? Why me… Why so suddenly… I just wanna know why
*Begins to cry*
…
Everything goes wrong for me?
WHY! (Shouts)
Spencer starts coughing severely.
Spencer in a fit of rage swipes the camera off the desk and smashes it.
