We used various video editing techniques like barndoor transitions, precise cutting with the razor tool, and additive dissolves to match the song and provoke emotion. The entire video was edited in black and white to symbolize the color draining from the world. Titles at the end were static to complement the style while crediting the cast and crew over the beats of the song. Speeding up footage of a car time lapse showed the passage of time and Darcy's wish to either forget her pain or see Zach again more quickly.

However, it challenges conventions by focusing on a narrative of loneliness rather than a typical club or party scene, and by incorporating melodic elements as the tempo decreases. The product also develops new conventions by combining different locations and advancing the narrative in an unusual way for the genre.
Evaluation 1

Most of the respondents watch music videos regularly on YouTube. When asked their favorite style of music video, the majority selected narrative videos. Therefore, the video will be produced in a narrative style to appeal to this target audience.
