Lucas matches with Steve on Tinder and they begin flirting over messages. They plan a date for Friday night where Steve takes Lucas for drinks. Lucas lies to his mother about where he is going that night. At the date, Steve and Lucas hit it off and go back to Steve's house. After having sex, Lucas' mother calls and Steve sees her photo on Lucas' phone. Steve reveals he got a woman pregnant 18 years ago and left her; she was Lucas' mother.

1. Screenplay
INT. Living room. Day
Lucas is in his living room sitting on the sofa in his house, scrolling through his phone when
he receives a message from the man name Steve on tinder. Lucas then proceeds to type Steve
and the conversation begins to take place.

(Messages Lucas)
Hey there, what’s a good-looking guy you doing on Tinder?
Lucas
(smiling)
I should ask you the same question ;)
Steve
(Messages Lucas)
There’s something about you, I couldn’t resist but to swipe left.
Lucas
(Messages Steve)
I’m more interesting than you think, when you see me you’ll find out
Lucas lays down, with a smiling expression on his face; texting Steve for the rest of the night.
A montage of Lucas texting Steve in different locations, seeing Lucas reaction to the
messages.
The montage starts with Lucas walking through a park with a cup of coffee, texting Steve
with a smile on his face, the scene changes to him being in school in the hallway, and in the
toilet. All while texting Steve.
Lucas is sitting in the library when his phone buzzed and he sees the notification

Lucas smiles with his eyes shining more than ever. His face is full of excitement, he starts
typing back.

Lucas

The house scene
IN. Bedroom. Day
Lucas is seen getting ready in his bedroom, he is looking at himself in the mirror and check
his appearances before his mum walks in
Mum
What time will you be back home tonight, darling?
Lucas
Not too late mum, actually. I’m going to stay at my friend’s house
tonight.
Mum
Which friend?
Lucas
Jack. I’m going to stay at Jack’s house.
Mum
Oh ok. Don’t forget to say hi to his parents for me.
Lucas takes his keys and storms of the house.
The restaurant scene
Ext. Coffee shop. Day
Lucas walks into the restaurant and he immediately sees Steve sitting there waiting for him
with a smile.
Steve
Hey, how are you?
Lucas
I’m good thanks, how are you?
Steve
I’m good, I’m glad you came.

3. Lucas
So, what do you do for a living?
Steve
I’m a photographer for GQ
Lucas
Oh really? I’m a photography student, I want to become one myself.
Steve
Do you want to come back to my place and check out the projects I’m
working on?
The conversation flowed as they continued to laugh and have jokes, they realised that their
personalities were similar. After 20 minutes of talking, they left the coffee shop together and
went back to Steve’s house
The house scene
IN. Kitchen. Day
Both of them are standing in the kitchen, while Steve pours Lucas a glass of wine. They start
getting tipsy, and just went to the bedroom.
After they’ve had sex. Steve is lying on the bed while Lucas is in the bathroom. Lucas phone
started ringing and Steve went to look at the phone and saw a picture of a woman whom he
impregnated 18 years ago. As soon as he started to gather his own thoughts, Lucas came out
of the shower to look at this phone.
Steve
Oh I used to know that woman, how do you know her?
Lucas
She’s my mum.
Steve, his eyes are wide in shock. He started to stutter
Steve
I left her when she was pregnant with my child 18 years ago.
