Scott Mellynchuk is a lifelong learner who wants to become a biology teacher. He started studying natural science at Johns Hopkins University in 1976 but had to put his degree on hold to work, get married, and raise his three children. He eventually completed his undergraduate degree in science, math, and technology with a biology concentration from Empire State University in 2009. His only teaching experience so far has been coaching youth and high school sports. He hopes to work in a high-needs school district and make a difference in students' lives while refining his teaching techniques. He believes technology will play a major role in education by providing real-world connections for students and preparing them for future careers.
