Classroom Procedures
Bring all materials to class everyday including your book, paper, pencils, etc. (Do not borrow books from
others)
A tardy result if student is not in the room when the tardy bell rings, or does not have necessary
supplies.
If a student needs to leave the room for any reason, he/she must use a student initiated pass in their
student planner. (Only 2 allowed per quarter in my class)
Lab safety procedures must be followed at all times.
Check my website for missed assignments if absent. (see bottom of page)
Immediately upon entering the room, copy objectives and assignments from the board into planner and
begin Bell Work.
Cover textbook with book cover as soon as possible to avoid fines.
Grading procedures
Grades are determined by total points accumulated within each 9 week quarter.
Grades will be accumulated for class work, homework, quizzes, tests, labs, and activities.
Assignments are due at the beginning of the period. Each student will be responsible for turning
assignments into their assigned folder. Points will be deducted for assignments turned in past due date.
(maximum of half credit for all late work). Late work will only be accepted for one week past the due
date.
All students are expected to update their grade sheets in the planners on a weekly basis.
Study tips for test- Do not wait until the night before the test to study. Use your class notes, worksheets,
workbook pages, homework and terms to prepare.
