IReL was established in 2006 to provide online information resources to researchers across seven Irish universities and one medical college. It was formed in response to growing research needs and insufficient information access. While the project aims to promote open educational practices by transforming existing courses into OER, some materials may have restrictions on repurposing due to a lack of share-alike licensing. The ECU aims to establish chiropractic university programs across all European countries to ensure long term success of the chiropractic profession in Europe. It also aims to coordinate chiropractic research, support existing education and research programs, and provide high quality chiropractic services throughout Europe. To achieve its goals, the ECU will form task forces focused on legal, organizational, educational and research issues and ensure its members are well informed.

Spinal manipulation therapy (SMT) was more effective than medication for relieving acute or subacute neck pain in both the short and long term. For 272 participants with neck pain lasting 2-12 weeks, SMT had statistically significantly less pain than medication after 8 weeks and up to 1 year later. HEA was superior to medication for pain relief at 26 weeks. No important differences in pain were found between SMT and HEA. The trial demonstrated that SMT and HEA were both more effective than medication for acute or subacute neck pain.

The New Zealand Chiropractors' Association is establishing relief for the Christchurch chiropractors through membership levies and donations, and is appealing globally for assistance to help chiropractors rebuild and continue serving the community, which needs chiropractic care more than ever. Donations of any amount can be made through the NZCA website to support the chiropractors and people of Christchurch.
