The international space station is
situated in the space. It is also
called as ISS. It is made to carry
out research about the space.
The construction of the station
was started in 1998 and it will be
over in 2011. Astronauts can
study the weather, rain patterns
natural resources and the
formation of the Earth while in
the ISS.
An astronaut is a person who pilots a
spacecraft or works in the space. They
are involved in the space programmes of
the united states, Russia and the other
former republics of the soviet union until
the country broke up in 1991. Russia then
took over the program. China sent its
first astronaut into space in 2003.
There are space shuttles
stationed in the space.
Astronauts do lots of
experiments over
weather, global warming,
natural disasters and
natural resources from
the space.
The sun is a star. It s in the middle
of the solar system. 8 planets orbit
around the Sun. It has a diameter
of 1,392,000 km. About 3 quarters
of the Sun`s mass consists of
hydrogen, while the rest is mostly
helium. The Sun`s colour is white,
although from the surface of the
Earth it may appear yellow because
of the atmospheric scattering of
light blue.
The first space ship to land on
moon was powered by Russia, It
was unmanned but a dog named
Laika was sent. After that a
space ship was sent by America
it was manned. The first human
to land on moon was Neil
Armstrong.
The Moon is a natural
satellite, the earths moon is
called Lunar. The Moon is
Earths only natural satellite.
The Moon is the fifth largest
satellite in the solar system.
