1) Blogs often link to mainstream media content, usually to cite sources for claims or statements. Most links are without evaluation, but positive evaluations are slightly more common than negative ones. 2) Central blogs are more critical of other top blogs than mainstream media. Differences also exist between evaluations of different types of media sources. 3) The study analyzed over 1,000 links from German-language blogs to major media sites to understand how blogs interact with and reference mainstream media.
