Agile From the Top Down: Executives & Leadership Living Agile by Jon StahlLeanDog
I believe that executives must practice what they preach. If they want teams to be transparent and agile, they need to practice themselves and lead by example. This talk will share some Agile & Lean techniques, applied in a new way, to help organizations understand their constraints so they can transparently carry forward their journey to becoming Agile. “Seeing the Whole” includes customers, projects, applications, people, leadership, financials and Standard Work. We will propose creating a BVR (Big (I mean big) Visual Room), refactoring the PMO and suggest some practices to help support this journey. Executives are challenged to lead by example and be transparent. - Jon Stahl
Presentation at Agile Australia 2012: Agile and Lean methods are not just for developers! This case study will show the how an IBM Sales team is using Agile and Lean methods and tools to manage their workflow, work load, and work prioritisation; while making reporting and real-time dashboards a reality for sales management. Included in this case study will be the movement to self-organising teams and team prioritisation sessions.
Agiles Sales Methodology English March 2015Lluis Font
Agile Sales is a methodology designed by Luis Font to accelerate the sales process in a fast and effective way. It is results oriented and combines different methods like; Agile, Lean, and Execution. Learn more at www.luisfont.com
The Agile Methodology promotes an adapting environment, team work, auto-organization and fast delivery which allows a high level of participation from the client in all the phases of project planning Agile Methodology is also very applicable to the sales process involving the client, working in “sprints”,and defining milestones and deliverables. These methodologies are combined with “Lean”, Content Marketing techniques and software tools in the Cloud and execution management.
Martin will show how Accenture uses Docker to build a continuous-delivery enabled development. Working against the clock, in 15 minutes: Martin will deploy a web application and development tools onto AWS. He will them make an enhancement to the deployed application completing a suite of QA gates: unit-test, functional-test, OWASP security scan, performance test and finally verify the change using A-B testing. If you aren’t familiar with DevOps / Continuous Delivery this practical example should help bring it to life.

How sure are you that you are “building the right thing?” How often do you validate your assumptions versus simply measuring your progress? While agile methods often help organizations build products faster, many software teams get hyper-focused on points completed over real value delivered – or, more important, learning about customers and validating product ideas. Some people obsess over “backlog grooming,” but still produce weak stories that do not provide the context needed for teams and programs to deliver valuable products. Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
