2. Based on the interest of making a difference to the Soweto society particularly in education at
Soweto Central Academy Math’s and Science Club we specialize in problem areas subjects such
as Mathematics, Economics, Accounting, Physical Science, Natural Science and Social Sciences.
As UJ and Wits graduates and under graduates, we partnered together and came up with a
creative and innovative solution to our education systemof empowering learner’s interest in the
above mentioned subjects. Therefore, we formed a Math’s and Science Academy which is
running 4 days a week Monday -Thursday from 15:30 pm-18:30 pm
About us
We believe that if you put a good teacher in front of a learner,
surely you will get a good product out of that learner.
SCA is conducted and facilitated by young subject experts from the best Universities in South Africa,
including University of Johannesburg and Wits University. We believe that learners interact better
with university young graduates and undergraduates since most of the learners want to see
themselves at university one day. Therefore, university students are a direct motivation to these
learners. Tutors are 3rd and 4th year students at the above mentioned universitiesspecializing in the
following degrees bachelor of education, Accounting and Economics.

3. Our Expertise
The academy provide learners with extra classes in Mathematics, Accounting and Physical
Science, through tutorials, homework assistance, exam revisions and we provide one on one
sessions for learners who need special attention. We have about 215 learners from different
schools who attends the academy every day for extra classes and learners are joining every day.
