Sub-Saharan Africa has seen a rise in the use of micronutrient powders (MNPs) since 2011, with 59 interventions implemented by 2013 across African countries such as Kenya, Madagascar, Ethiopia, and Mozambique. By 2014, sub-Saharan Africa became the largest market for MNPs, accounting for 48% of UNICEF procurement as demand increased across the region.
