First Data is a banking domain (credit card) project. Recovery1
Chronicle, Rewards and Plastics is a client proprietary
application involving Monetary Processing Database Maintenance.
Recovery1 helps credit grantor control their bad-debt portfolios
and increase recoveries. And provides a computerized system to
organize, track, and work accounts in the recovery departments.
Recovery1 system is an independent system that can be used
along with the FDR Cardholder system.
The First Data Chronicle service is a memos product that enables
you to place on file memos about customer contacts and account-
related activity for each cardholder account. You can add, change,
display, or delete memos online as required. This product features
client-defined memos which enable you to customize standard
memos to meet your needs. Chronicle also provides display filters
to enhance your research so only pertinent memos are displayed.
Activities and responsibility involved in this project:
I am working as an Onshore Co-coordinator involving
Development, Testing and preparing test case scenarios,
Implementation, Maintenance and Enhancements. I am the POC
for Recovery1 and Chronicle applications.
Responsibility:
* Maintain good relationship with the client and effectively
communicate with FD stakeholders
* Maximize team's productivity
* Coordinate the work between Onshore and offshore.
* Monitoring Daily batch jobs and providing resolution to the
incidents without breaching the SLA.
*Testing (Unit and Regression testing) the code.
*Performance tuning of jobs to reduce the usage of CPU time,
recently I did a tuning for a job which helped reducing 10 Mins of
CPU time, as well as it saves 253 GB of DASD space each day.
* Automating the jobs to cut messages to know the error accounts
in such way that the cycle will not go down, so that we will not
miss any SLA for the critical jobs.
* Delivering the bug free code on time with all the test results for
sign off.
* Resolving incidents that are raised by the clients of FDC.
* Working on standard requests and projects that are submitted by
the clients.
* Performing self and peer review of codes.
