GBS Reverse Engineering project is focused on gathering information on the interface details of various applications
in GBS. The interfaces are later used to integrate the application into a different platform. Main purpose of the
project is to migrate the existing GBS Systems into a different platform.
Important undertakings:
● Analysing the business requirements and transforming the requirements to Functional design specifications.
● Design, code, unit test, debug of the code and produced high quality deliverables with least number of
defects.
● Development of batch programs with database connectivity like COBOL-DB2.

Important undertakings:
Policy Administration: Omega and Omega lite are the CICS applications of the policy administration. Omega handles
major policy changes which are then processed by the overnight batch processes whereas Omega lite does quick
changes related to the policy like Policy reinstatement, Surrender, deletion for individual policies
• Worked on IR’s and SCR’s to add new functionalities to CICS programs/maps for both Omega and Omega
lite
Conversion System:
This mainframe system handles all the conversion processes related to a policy which includes changing policy from
individual to family or single parental family.
• Development/Enhancement of the batch programs
• Performed Root cause analysis to identify the cause of issues in the Test/Production environment by the
team during SIT, UAT & implementation
Claims services:
• Worked on changes to CICS and Batch COBOL programs
• All the programs were successfully retested and then elevated to PROD in 9 months.
Group Address Standardization:
• Involved the standardization of Group address across all mainframe systems as per US Postal Service
regulation was working along with a team of 10 resources.
