National Report Antónia Neto, GSP Focal point for São Tomé and Príncipe, provided the following updates: São Tomé and Príncipe officially joined GSP/AfSP in 2019. They are currently updating the country's 1958 soil map through soil sampling and analysis. Laboratory technicians are receiving training in soil analysis. Neto has also participated in virtual conferences on soil biodiversity and fertilizers. In 2021, soil and water samples were analyzed for an irrigation project funded by the African Development Bank. Small farmers received training in organic pesticides and biofertilizers. Horticultural producers also received training in composting for soil fertility. In 2020, over 700 farmers benefited from a
