Peer pressure, bullying, and family problems are three main reasons teens commit suicide. Common suicide methods include cutting wrists, drowning, suffocation, hypothermia, and electrocution. Cutting wrists is the most common because it can cause instant death if a major vein is severed. Struggles with sexuality can also lead to suicide, such as in the case of a 14-year-old boy who took his life after years of anti-gay bullying. To help prevent suicide, websites and clubs can be created to help people feel less alone and give them an escape from their problems.
