In Samoa there are many
different animals that
cannot be found here.
Most of the animals are
found in tropical places.
Flying Fox
The Flying Fox is a mammal
in the Pteropodiae family and
it is found in Fiji , Samoa and
American Samoa. They are
mostly dying because of their
habitat loss , it weighs 450
grams and it has a wingspan
of 0.86 meters. Its diet is fruit
leaves and nectar
Frasers Dolphin
The Frasers Dolphin is 1
meter long 20 Kg’s at birth
growing at 2.75 meters and
200 kg’s at adulthood. They
have conspicuously small
flippers and a small fin in
relation to the size of the
body. They eat pelagic fish,
shrimp and squid.
Mesophlodont
whale
Mesophlodont whales are
small whales it is 3.9 meters
to 6.2 meters it also has a
small dorsal fin and narrow
flippers they also get bitten
by cookie cutter sharks. They
feed entirely on squids.

shearwater
Wedge The wedge-tailed
shearwater (Puffinus pacificus) is a
medium-large shearwater in
the seabird family Procellariidae. It is one
of the shearwater species that is
sometimes referred to as a mutton bird,
like the sooty shearwater of New
Zealand and the short-tailed
shearwater of Australia. It ranges across
from throughout the tropical Pacific
and Indian Ocean roughly
between latitudes 35°N and 35°S. It breeds
on islands off of Japan, on the Islas
Revillagigedo, the Hawaiian Islands,
the Seychelles and off Eastern and
Western Australia.
