Salta is a food development company, established with the intension
to produce and market a new breed of healthy hummus spreads,
based on various legumes and vegetables for the rising hummus market,
which is worth over $1 billion (consumer price) in the US alone.
With its capability of producing a wide range of preservative free spreads,
Salta is aiming to broaden this growing market and make this popular
product healthier and more appealing to health conscious consumers.
Market and need:
Salta has developed industrial recipes for unique legumes spreads,
with high content of quality protein and NO artificial additives, such
as potassium sorbet.
Technology and advantages:
We possess the knowledge and capability to develop new legume
and vegetable spreads with a natural preservative based on
fermented cane sugar.
Present status and milestones:
+ We have developed 12 ready for production recipes, and have
them available for costumer trial and tasting.
+ We received positive feedbacks in our focused groups,
in terms of taste, texture and feel – also in comparison with
established hummus brands.
