Saint Agatha was a beautiful woman from Sicily who lived in 251 AD. She refused to marry a rich man and remained faithful to her Christian beliefs, which angered the man and led to her suffering and martyrdom. On the day of her death, there was an earthquake that convinced the man of her strong faith in God. In the Basque Country, Saint Agatha is celebrated each February 5th, during which children traditionally sing songs about her while dressed in Basque clothes to ask for food and money.
