Sahana Foundation provided several key services in response to the 2010 Haiti earthquake: 1) A missing person registry to track missing people using Person Finder Interchange Format (PFIF) for interoperability. 2) Rapid mapping of Port-au-Prince using high-resolution satellite imagery and OpenStreetMap to geolocate texts from trapped people and aid first responders. 3) An organization registry to input data from multiple spreadsheets about responding organizations.
