Sahana Eden : Introduction and Simulation A (SahanaCamp 1.2)
SahanaEden is open-source disaster management software that provides applications like inventory management, incident reporting, and project tracking to support decision making during disasters. It has been used since 2005 for events in Sri Lanka, Pakistan, New York City, the Philippines, Haiti, and Pakistan. - #7 Just like Wikipedia, the power of crowd-sourcing for creating Accurate, up-to-date content is incredible. The fact that anyone can edit would seem to suggest that the data will be unreliable, but actually the opposite turns out to be true – there are more honest people than vandals. Not having a hard system of classification allows it to adapt rapidly which is especially useful for Local contexts. This doesn’t mean that there is anarchy – using agreed tags means that the various rendering engines will display them properly.
