Project Title: Finite Element Modeling of fatigue crack initiation and propagation from small scale damages
and cracks.
Details: This project uses the XFEM module of the simulation software ABAQUS CAE to render a broader
aspect of “Fracture Mechanics”. Using prior knowledge of fracture mechanics and the respective software, we
have been able to model cracks in different geometries and materials and their propagation under static
forces and cyclic loading (fatigue).
