This document summarizes survey results from South African NGOs about their use of information and communication technologies in 2007. The key findings are: - 100% of NGOs used fixed line phones, fax, and email. 78% used a PBX system and 65% used mobile phones. - Awareness and usage of mobile phone technologies like cameras, MMS, GPRS, and internet downloads increased between 2006 and 2007. - However, technologies like WIG, WIMAX, and mobile TV had lower awareness and usage levels. - The document identifies challenges around competition, costs, connectivity and regulation in South Africa's mobile market.
