2. Introduction The internet has opened a wide space for people from different background to come face to face and communicate their values . People with strong knowledge in certain issues use the internet to clear things out and gain support for their stands. Others use the internet to look for information about issues and people who have strong knowledge of what they are looking for – who support their views.
3. Future leaders/Opinion makers Leaders/Opinion makers have been using all kind of traditional media to communicate their ideas and reach their supporters Web 2.0 allowed new generation of leaders/opinion makers to emerge on the web (message boards, email-groups, social networks, video and audio sites, blogs and micro-blogs). Social Arena would provide a new platform that is built on values/issues where people with strong passion for their values/issues would gather and share ideas, material and sources. They can also go head to head in a challenging debate with people from the same or other arenas. Winners of debate challenges would emerge as new leaders. Social Arena facilitates connecting leaders with their supporters. It allows groups to gather/share information in one place .
4.
5. Connecting Social Arena should provide users with easy connections to their other social media networks sites . For instance, a blogger can easily connect his blog into his debate challenges. All types of external channels that are available can be connected to the friendly arenas, the debate arenas and the user profiles.
7. Debate Arenas_ Where 2 competitors can go head to head in discussing a certain issue, and where others can support and vote. Social Arena – Core modules
8. Friendly Arenas_ Group places where people can connect for a cause, share ideas, add materials and feeds and get members debates statuses. Social Arena – Core modules
9. Users’ Profiles_ connect users with their other social media networks accounts (import/export options). Social Arena – Core modules
15. A debate winner will get a small icon indicating the he won a debate over a certain value/issue and number of votes. A user winning several debates on a specific issue would be distinguished by the icons to be a leader . Debaters should have authority over the comments of the other users/supporters of the debaters. The social arena ‘ Terms of Use ’ should be in line with global standard of human rights. Provide additional program to enable users to access the social arena if they face censorship (it will be mention in invitation and welcome message) . The member will receive an e-mail about how hehe can access the web site if it prevented in certain area. Debates Rules/Censorship
18. Finally We hope that social arena would raise freedom of expression, help people see different sides and develop their skills in using logical arguments that are based on facts. It will also create a new landscape where people will be connected based on their values. Eventually, new leaders will emerge!
