- Where have I been? It is not so obvious because I did not match the objective criteria to do what I do today. I was VEX that I had to go for this interview. I had an affro – I know it’s hard to believe now that I good even have grown one. INTERVIEW was not great. All I could think of was MJ’s album. I got the job. On reflection I think the interviewer felt sorry for me because of my ‘toothache’. Once I got that job, though, I ‘seized the moment’ and made the best of the ‘opportunity’
- Office Junior to College – Willesden College – then to University. I got interested in law and studied it on a Saturday in Holborn. Sat and passed Bar entry exams.

- Surveyor and Barrister. An opportunity came when I applied for a set of chambers where a well known construction barrister worked. By chance I had a copy of his book with me and he join me at the interview and was impressed that I had written many published artices.

- How many times have we heard these words. How many times have we been on the receiving end of negative words? I can say it has been said to me many times before. The surprising thing in my case was I heard those mainly from my friends and WORST from those who had no experience of where I wanted to go. Christine Lagarde was once warned by a reputable firm in France that she would never make partner because of her gender. She went on First, it was to become a surveyor and one day a partner in the firm. I became the surveyor.

- I would like to think that I more to accomplish. Went on to acquire 2 more degrees, now a proud governor of non-maintain school for the deaf. I write for many publications. Ask me where I’m going? My journey continues!!!
