Information Technology System
The new office located in Washington will require a
properly organized information technology system for it to
perform its function systematically. A good information
technology system ensures that all the activities intended to be
performed are well met, and all the organization functions are
done accordingly. As the newly appointed information
technology assistant project director I would input the five main
type of information systems, and they include, management
information systems, expert systems, and neural networks,
information system, decision support system and transaction
processing system (Eason 2014). These are the main five types
of the information system that I would recommend for the newly
established office to use to facilitate swift movement of
information and flow of activities.
All the above systems perform a different function in
facilitating the flow of information in the organization. The
management information system is used in collecting data from
various departments in the organization these include all the
transactional process that takes place and later this data is used
in the formulation of reports which is later on used by managers
after a careful review in making decisions in response to
problems highlighted by the system. The information provided
by these systems formulates a summary of all the wants and
needs of the different sectors of the organization. Thus, all
decisions made will help improve the efficiency of the company
(Marchewka, 2014).
Expert systems and neural networks are a system that is
used to provide knowledge-based information after carefully
reviews all the data collected and analyzed. The system goes
ahead and provides a recommendation of how to control
different activities, make accurate decisions and diagnosis of all
the problems that may arise during the working process. Neutral
systems are used in fostering the way the brain of a human
being can process information, learn about different aspects
about specific departments in the organization and help in
remembering all the information that has been recorded.
Transaction processing systems have its primary function
of collecting all the information from the respective
departments in the organization, processing, stores then
afterward displaying the modified information to relevant
stakeholders. This will be of aid because all the information in
the organization will be able to follow a specific common
channel of transmissions were all necessary changes will be
made (Vaishnavi & Kuechler, 2015). Therefore, the resulting
data can later be used to formulate reports of the organization
records, e.g., the sales records when being presented to the head
of finance for the budgeting process. The system comes in
handy when it comes in producing reports of the employees'
wages and also helps in the billing process thus if the systems
are incorporated errors that were previously encountered during
provision of wages and salaries will no longer be a problem.
Decision support system mainly helps in facilitating the
decision-making process because it provides an analysis of data
that is relevant in coming up with various patent decisions.
Before making any decision, it is advised that the decision
makes should first have a careful review of all the relevant data
and information concerning each department in the organization
then after that one can conclude. The data and information help
in identifying what is the common problem that affects or curbs
the company from having a smooth operation. The system
analyses the decision made then there afterward provides
additional information and options that can be used to enhance
the decision made (Liu & Wang, 2014). This improves the
quality of the decisions made by the managers and all the
problems that previously curbed the organization from thriving
will be eradicated. The organization, therefore, will have
maximized its total output from a minimum input investment.
Information system performs a significant function of
collecting data, store, and process it to provide the organization
with substantial and meaningful information that is useful to the
organization. The absence of such a system will make it
difficult when it comes to obtaining relevant information be it
from employees or the customers. The system encompasses data
gathering information from different people in different
segments in the organization or buyers from different
geographical positions and provides data concerning their
reviews and opinions of a particular product that the company is
offering.
All the above systems work hand in hand to ensure the
organization merges forward. There is one crucial system that
facilitates all other systems, and without this system, the
organization cannot move forward or experience a positive
outcome, and this patent system is the management information
system. Management information system helps the company to
develop a good relationship with other organization both in the
state and other organizations worldwide (Voogt & Resta, 2017).
A good management system ensures that all the decisions made
are accurate meaning the decisions meet all the worker's
requirement this creates fairness in the organization. All the
employees in the organization will increase the output regarding
productivity for they will be working in an environment that
upholds their rights and privileges. The system improved the
company's production, and quality of the produces being relayed
to other people. Good management systems ensure it helps in
marketing the company products and the company's brand.
In case the system happens to experience a failure, it will
alter all the activities that take place in the organization.
Nevertheless, all the coordination of all the other systems will
be disrupted because they all rely on the management system to
facilitate their proper functioning. This will have an adverse
effect on the company because all the activities being performed
will no longer be done in a coordinated manner rather
everything will be done haphazardly because no rules will be
there to adhere.
The system should be protected because it aids in
providing necessary information that is used by managers to
come up with appropriate decisions. The other main reason as to
why the system should be protected is because it facilitates the
formulation and amendments of rules made by the managers.
Before the managers come up to a conclusion of how to provide
a solution of a certain organizational problem they must first
consult the system so that they can obtain the accurate
information relating to the case identified thus it is important to
secure the system to ensure the organization merges forward.

Running Head INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SYSTEM .docx

  • 1. Running Head: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SYSTEM 1 Information Technology System 6 Information Technology System Alexia Bradley University of Phoenix, eCampus December 26, 2018 Information Technology System The new office located in Washington will require a properly organized information technology system for it to perform its function systematically. A good information technology system ensures that all the activities intended to be performed are well met, and all the organization functions are done accordingly. As the newly appointed information
  • 2. technology assistant project director I would input the five main type of information systems, and they include, management information systems, expert systems, and neural networks, information system, decision support system and transaction processing system (Eason 2014). These are the main five types of the information system that I would recommend for the newly established office to use to facilitate swift movement of information and flow of activities. All the above systems perform a different function in facilitating the flow of information in the organization. The management information system is used in collecting data from various departments in the organization these include all the transactional process that takes place and later this data is used in the formulation of reports which is later on used by managers after a careful review in making decisions in response to problems highlighted by the system. The information provided by these systems formulates a summary of all the wants and needs of the different sectors of the organization. Thus, all decisions made will help improve the efficiency of the company (Marchewka, 2014). Expert systems and neural networks are a system that is used to provide knowledge-based information after carefully reviews all the data collected and analyzed. The system goes ahead and provides a recommendation of how to control different activities, make accurate decisions and diagnosis of all the problems that may arise during the working process. Neutral systems are used in fostering the way the brain of a human being can process information, learn about different aspects about specific departments in the organization and help in remembering all the information that has been recorded. Transaction processing systems have its primary function of collecting all the information from the respective departments in the organization, processing, stores then afterward displaying the modified information to relevant stakeholders. This will be of aid because all the information in the organization will be able to follow a specific common
  • 3. channel of transmissions were all necessary changes will be made (Vaishnavi & Kuechler, 2015). Therefore, the resulting data can later be used to formulate reports of the organization records, e.g., the sales records when being presented to the head of finance for the budgeting process. The system comes in handy when it comes in producing reports of the employees' wages and also helps in the billing process thus if the systems are incorporated errors that were previously encountered during provision of wages and salaries will no longer be a problem. Decision support system mainly helps in facilitating the decision-making process because it provides an analysis of data that is relevant in coming up with various patent decisions. Before making any decision, it is advised that the decision makes should first have a careful review of all the relevant data and information concerning each department in the organization then after that one can conclude. The data and information help in identifying what is the common problem that affects or curbs the company from having a smooth operation. The system analyses the decision made then there afterward provides additional information and options that can be used to enhance the decision made (Liu & Wang, 2014). This improves the quality of the decisions made by the managers and all the problems that previously curbed the organization from thriving will be eradicated. The organization, therefore, will have maximized its total output from a minimum input investment. Information system performs a significant function of collecting data, store, and process it to provide the organization with substantial and meaningful information that is useful to the organization. The absence of such a system will make it difficult when it comes to obtaining relevant information be it from employees or the customers. The system encompasses data gathering information from different people in different segments in the organization or buyers from different geographical positions and provides data concerning their reviews and opinions of a particular product that the company is offering.
  • 4. All the above systems work hand in hand to ensure the organization merges forward. There is one crucial system that facilitates all other systems, and without this system, the organization cannot move forward or experience a positive outcome, and this patent system is the management information system. Management information system helps the company to develop a good relationship with other organization both in the state and other organizations worldwide (Voogt & Resta, 2017). A good management system ensures that all the decisions made are accurate meaning the decisions meet all the worker's requirement this creates fairness in the organization. All the employees in the organization will increase the output regarding productivity for they will be working in an environment that upholds their rights and privileges. The system improved the company's production, and quality of the produces being relayed to other people. Good management systems ensure it helps in marketing the company products and the company's brand. In case the system happens to experience a failure, it will alter all the activities that take place in the organization. Nevertheless, all the coordination of all the other systems will be disrupted because they all rely on the management system to facilitate their proper functioning. This will have an adverse effect on the company because all the activities being performed will no longer be done in a coordinated manner rather everything will be done haphazardly because no rules will be there to adhere. The system should be protected because it aids in providing necessary information that is used by managers to come up with appropriate decisions. The other main reason as to why the system should be protected is because it facilitates the formulation and amendments of rules made by the managers. Before the managers come up to a conclusion of how to provide a solution of a certain organizational problem they must first consult the system so that they can obtain the accurate information relating to the case identified thus it is important to secure the system to ensure the organization merges forward.
